i've always needed
for people to care

i've been searching for validation,
searching for understanding,
searching for people to accept me as person

but people did not care
they did not think about validation,
they did not think about understanding
they would just pass by and forget

and at the end of the day
it was me all alone

trying to hold myself together
while the pieces of my mind
struggled to fit in
