1 - fireworks

i remember one of my favourite ever memories with her, during that cold december night, when we were standing waiting for the christmas firework show to start. a kaleidescope of colours lit up the navy painted night sky, causing a light bonfire smell in the air. this was the same night that i stopped being so afraid of the dark, because i knew that i would always have lisa to help me through.

i watched as her eyes gleemed whilst looking at the bright sparks in the air, and i felt so content in that moment, i wish time could have stopped. we laughed like children even though fireworks were something we had seen one thousand times before.

we were only 14 at the time, but i already knew that she would be my life long best friend. she would always stick up for me when i wasn't able to stick up for myself, and she would always calm me down after a bad situation. i've known her almost my whole life, and i could trust her with my life.

all those moments when i would fall onto the bed laughing, or when i collapsed onto the floor in tears, she was there to live through it with me. as long as i have her, i don't need anyone else. i guess i can call her my childhood friend, my best friend.
