2 - unexpected

i almost couldn't contain my excitement as i spoke to lisa on the phone
"really?! you're coming to london to see me?" i asked, although i already knew the answer, i felt like i was dreaming. i haven't seen her in months, and i missed her so much. i moved from seoul to london for studying, i wanted to get better at english and in general just change it up. of course, my best friend, lisa, decided to stay in seoul for her studies so that she can get into her dream school.

"yeah, i wanted to surprise you, i'm going to arrive at the airport tomorrow morning." she told me. this was going to be amazing, perfect for the winter break, all i've been doing is sitting at home on the sofa, watching shows and listening to music.

we talked for a while and then when she hung up, i realised that i really need to clean the apartment. it's such a mess. but i guess that's what living alone does to you. i don't even have a guest room.. she's going to have to sleep on the sofa.

i procrastinated a bit longer until i realised it was already 6pm and i had yet to do any cleaning, or shopping. i'm screwed.  thankfully, procrastination is my speciality and i can speed through it.

the next morning i went to pick lisa up from the airport, butterflies in my stomach from nervousness since i haven't seen her in so long. i wondered if her hair would be the same beautiful brown colour and if she still always wore those same timberland boots. i missed her so much over the last few months. if i have her, i don't need anything else.

i saw her and my smile widened and i was quick to run into her arms.
