Character vs. Character

Harry vs Edward

Harry has depth, and much better things to do than stalk a teenage girl. He is basically a normal human being, he has flaws, and emotions. Had he not had a tragic past, he would be completely normal. He also matures throughout the book, and learns from his mistakes. Edward is perfect, stunning, has no flaws, and stays the same the whole way through. Quite boring if you ask me.

Hermione vs Bella

Bella is annoying, self centered, and cannot do anything for herself. Hermione is smart, independent, purposeful, and loyal. She gave herself up for her world, without batting an eyelash. She is a good female role model, and does not need a sparkling belligerent young man to give her purpose. Besides, lets face it, Emma Watson is just a way better actress.

Voldemort vs Aro

Voldemort is the most dark wizard there ever was. He uses his vast skill set intelligently to cause meaningful harm to his victims. He can read a third party's thoughts thousands of miles away, he can inflict physical damage with moving a muscle, and can turn two people against each other so fast that you think that you blinked. Aro can't do squat.

Arthur Weasley vs Charlie Swan

Charlie watches his daughter Bella suffer through depression, and does absolutely nothing to help her. He matches stereotypes by forcing her to do all the housework, and never speaks to her. Arthur goes out of his way to aid Harry, despite not being a blood relation to the Weasley's, and you could not go through Arthur to Harry if you tried. Arthur also makes his youngest not fight in the battle of Hogwarts, to guard her and keep her safe. If Charlie ever does that, then I will fly to Hogwarts.
