“Now’s not a good time,” Derek stops me preventing from entering  Jay's office.

“Tell him I'm here, I’ll wait in his room,” I tell him he nods.

“Sure thing,” he pauses, “sure missed you last night,” he says his mouth tight. I purse my lips and close my eyes inhaling, I completely forgot about it.

“Derek I'm-”

“Forget about it,” he says shaking his head annoyed and walks into Jay's office.

I lift my head up straight, and run up the stairs to his room. I should've been here for that double date, he was so excited. I ruined that for him, and now I'm gonna pay for it.

Suddenly the door swings open and slams shut, revealing a pissed off Jay. My eyes widen as he grabs my throat and slams me against the wall. “You don't get to leave!” He yells, “I own you, you are nothing more than name on a piece of paper preventing a war!” He growls squeezing my throat and I start to see black dots. I tap his hand meekly trying to get out. “Do you understand!” He roars shaking my body as his muscles tense up more his veins in his neck becoming visible. I try to nod and he looks at me in disgust and drops me. I fall to the ground my knees collapsing underneath me. I shouldn't have left. I should've known this would happen, how did I forget that this was Jay Stone, the most ruthless careless heartless gang leader in existence. That was my second mistake. My first mistake was believing-even for just a second- that he had the slightest feelings for me

I swallow and let out a cry of pain. As tears slip out of my eyes and dance down my face in anger. And regret.

“Get ready you have a job tonight,” he spits at me and slams the door as he leaves the room.

A job. How can I do a job when I can't even talk? I thought he didn't want me baiting? A million thoughts race through my head as I touch my neck and hiss in pain at the contact.

Beep. “Everything alright?” Justin.

“Just as I expected it to be… I'm fine I'll talk to you later.” I message him. It wasn't a lie it’s how I expected him to treat me the moment Ty sold me.

“OK, message me if you need anything ;)”

“OK.”

I walk downstairs quietly. I raise my eyebrows and snort at Jay making out with the other baiter, Liz. I find this scene highly amusing. I smirk as I walk past them and into the kitchen to see Derek cooking something.

“Derek,” I croak out. He turns to me raising his eyebrows and see’s my neck.

He shakes his head worried, “What the hell did he do?” He asks.

I shake my head, “I deserved it,” I try to breath out but whimper at the end. “I’m-” I wince and turn my head to the side slightly, causing even more pain. “Sorry, selfish.” I croak out hoping he understood what I was trying to get across.

He sighs, “It’s alright, I was more annoyed than angry. Jay was finally gonna go out and have some fun with someone who made him-” He looks behind my back and quickly turns back to the stove. Due to not being able to turn my head I have to move my whole body to see what’s behind me.

A glaring Jay with messed up hair. I bite my cheek to prevent myself from commenting and grab some bread out of the cupboard to make a sandwich. But as soon as I open the cupboard someone slams it shut.

“You ask permission to touch anything in this house,” He growls lowly. “If you want to sit, you ask, if you want to sleep you ask, if you want to piss you ask. You beg.” He smirks venomously.
