Cinder POV
After the devastation that took place, all the students had to return home or back to beacon to continue training just in case another threat arrives. As I sit down studying my thoughts are interuppted as I drop my things, causing mercury and emerald to look at me with concern

Emerald: cinder? Are you ok?
Cinder: Salem... She needs us.

Their ehes widen slightly as they nod. We leave the dorm with our gear and leave beacon by bullhead to return to salems castle

Ruby POV
Lately Blake has been acting funny... Like, not "Haha" funny but... Weird funny. Ive been alittle on edge since then and I tried to inform my other teammates about it but they simply shrugged it off. I since then have been spying on blake and I saw something that surprised me

Flashback

I was currently hiding in the near by bushes as I saw Blake reading a book. She seemed to be waiting for something but then I heard yang in the distance

Yang: BLAKE! WHATS UP?!
Blake: can you keep quiet?
Yang: hehe... So what did you want?

Blake then shifted her gaze away from yang as I continued to record what was going on. I then heard them talking but I could barley make out what they were saying but then I saw that blake pounced on yang and I thought she was attacking my sister so I stood up and hut my head on something but I saw that blake and yang... Were kissing?!

Ruby: AHH!
Yang: RUBY?! What are you doing here?!
Ruby: I-I um-uh... BUSH SOUNDS RUSTLE RUSTLE PLANTS

I then quickly run away while using my semblance as I saw blake and yang stare at each other. Once I enter the dorm room I see penny looking at me with a confused and concerned face

Cinder POV
Once we finally returned to the castle I was shocked to see that it was nearly destroyed... We quickly entered just to see that tyrian dead by the throne room entrance

Mercury: who the hell...?
Emerald: be on guard...

I nod as I prepare a ball of fire in my hands and I enter the throne room to see that Dr. Watts and hazel dead as well and I also see Salem getting hit by a powerful beam as she gets knocked into the ground as she starts to glow purple

Cinder: Mistress!

I try to help her but then the purple dust gets close to me. I look to see the attacker and I cover my mouth as mercury falls to his knees and emerald drops her weapons

??: It certainly has been awhile... Hasn't it?
