It's finally summer vacation, a time where children of all ages are let out of school to enjoy the warm sun on their skin! Unless you're me. You see, my Dad owns a water company and goes on business trips taking Mom and I with him. It is so boring, I never get to spend time with my friends Reece and Shane, I always have to pack up and stuff myself into our tiny car. Dad said we were headed to a sleepy little place called LazyTown, where he had to discuss water supply with the mayor. "It's so great to be visiting LazyTown! Y/N, are you excited?" Mom asked. "Not particularly, Reece was going to invite me to go roller skating, but we have to go to LazyTown!" I groaned, fixing my position in the back seat of the vehicle.

"Reece has known about the trip for a while, it's her fault she made plans." Dad said. By then I had lost interest in the conversation and had quickly turned on my cell phone. I'm guessing Mom and Dad got the hint and began to chat about mortgages and what-not. Shane had decided to send me some jokes to keep my spirits high. We began to chat.

Shane: Hey Y/N, what's black and white and red all over?
Y/N: Let me guess, a newspaper?
Shane: No, and embarrassed zebra!
Y/N: XD, that joke was terrible btw...
Shane: I know, hows the trip.
Y/N: Just stopped at a gas station, oops...GTG
Shane: Bye!

I dropped my phone and looked to my mom, she saw my eyes fixed on her and turned to face me. "So honey, I found out the Mayor's niece, Stephanie, is in LazyTown right now. She's about your age and I've heard she is wonderful!" She said. I twirled my H/C hair in my finger and nodded. Though I didn't show it, I was excited to hear there were actual kids in LazyTown. Just as I was thinking this, Dad opened the car door and slipped inside holding a grocery bag. He handed me a small bag full of potato chips, my favorite! "Thanks Dad! I was really hungry." I smiled. Dad just grinned back and shortly was back on the road.

It felt good to finally have some food in my stomach, I hadn't had anything since we left. It began to grow dark outside. The pale moon crept out from behind the clouds and lit the way as we drove onward. I began to grow tired and my eyes started to droop. "Night Y/N, we'll be in LazyTown in no time!" Mom said, which was the last thing I heard before dosing off.
