Chapter 28
April’s POV
The whole ride to Uncle Melvin’s grave site I played with my fingers. From time to time I would rub my stomach. I was just thinking maybe after I vent to my dead uncle this will help I won’t feel like the way I’ve been feeling lately. I truly hope this works cause’ I have so much I have been holding in. Once I get back home I’m gonna call Smilez cause I need her to handle something for me. I was so lost into my thoughts I didn’t even realize we arrived at the grave site. I got out the car and walked with daddy to this big white tombstone.
Dad: Hey big brutha! I brought ya niece April with me today so she could talk to you. I miss you like crazy Melly B. Shit ain’t been the same without you.
I pulled Daddy into a hug and wiped his falling tears. I watched as he gave me a weak smile & nodded his head for me to talk to Uncle Melvin. I watched as daddy walked back to the car.
Me: I don’t know how this goes or work so I’m just going to talk…..
“Okay so I was raped a while ago and I didn’t know what to do. I was scared because I don’t know what I did for that to happen to me. Then I found I that I’m pregnant by my attacker name Kingston. I was beyond scared to tell my momma & Aj. Then a few days after I told them I said a bunch of mean things and I hurt Aj’s feelings. Than Daddy got Cousin Smilez to kill Kingston. And earlier today I got into a fight with Kingston’s former girlfriend Emily because she threatened to kill me and my baby. Uncle Melvin I feel so alone, like no-one knows what I’m going through. I’m only 15 and I am about to be a mother. I just wish I had someone who knew what I have to go through everyday….”
I felt like a ton of bricks where lifted off my back. I am really glad I let everything out. But I think I should see someone. I need to meet up with Smilez today cause’ we need to talk “Business”.
I got off the ground and walked back to the car where dad was. I got in the car and dad gave me a hug and wiped my tears that I didn’t know had fallen. The drive back was pretty quite. I decided to break the silence.
Me: Dad can you take me to see Smilez?
Dad: Yea sure.
Smilez’s POV
After I killed Kingston I decided to move back to NOLA just in case I need to handle any more “Business”. I know y’all probably like bitch you crazy but I’m not really. I’m really one of the coolest people you would probably every meet. It’s just I don’t play when it comes to my Family.
I was seating on the couch watching BET. When someone knocked on my front door. I paused the Tv and got and walked to the door. I opened the door and Auggie Aug and April where standing there.
Me: Wassup Auggie Aug?
Aug: Nothing much April wanted to come see you.
Me: Wassup April?
April: Hey Smilez can we have a girl talk alone?
Me: Yea Auggie come back in 2 hours to get her.
Aug: Ight see ya later daddy’s Princess.
April: See ya daddy.
I watched as Aug walked back to his car and pulled off. I wonder where is Ass went he look like he had been crying. I asked him later right now I wonder what April wants to talk about.
Me: So what’s up girly?
April: I need you to handle something for me?
Me: Anything you name it .
April: I need you to follow this girl name Emily Jones.
Me: Alright but why?
April: Cause she said she was going to kill me and my baby.
Me: Ight I got you is that all you need me to do?
April: Yea for right now.
Me: Alright well let’s watch tv till ya pop’s come get you & why did it look like he was crying earlier?
April: He was we went to Uncle Melvin’s grave site earlier.
Me: Aww shit poor Auggie I hope he’s okay.
April: Ion know he didn’t really way much on I way here I wonder where he went….
