Shad's POV:

Leo and I reappeared in the courtyard of the fort to see everyone milling around doing homework. They looked up and saw us before running over and asking questions all at once. I chuckled slightly before shadow traveling Leo and myself a few feet away and we took off at a run.

"RUN LEO!!!" I yelled and we both laughed as we were being chased by loads of demigods

As we ran, we passed multiple demigods that had seen my fight and my cold exterior towards the 'teachers' but they were stunned as they saw my playful side around Leo, a normally introverted person.

"To the archery range!" Leo laughed as we ran up to a large range that had moving targets

There were three occupants, Frank, Nico and a kid with blond hair.

"Nico, are you sure you can handle yourself with this class?" the blond hair kid said and I laughed getting everyone's attention

"What do you want Shad?" Frank growled and I looked at him and smiled

"Just a chat, and why are you angry?" I asked already thinking of the answer

"You hurt Annabeth's feelings, you too Valdez" Frank said as he glared at us

"Frank, let me be frank with you, if you can give me a good reason why I should forgive Annabeth for what she did. Then I will let it go, but if what Leo has told me is true then there is none" I said emotionlessly

"She has already faced her demons, she was assigned here to prevent war between the council. Athena wanted Annabeth to be as far away from Fort Perseus as possible but the Poseidon said that she should be assigned her, to remind her day in and day out of Percy. If Athena refused then she would have war on her hands and she knew that she couldn't risk that" Frank says and I nod slowly

"I will apologize, but don't think that I will become instant friends with her" I said and Frank nodded

"I don't expect you too, but give her a chance, she has changed over the past three hundred and thirty years. But I'd be lying if I didn't agree with my father and say that what she did was a bitch move, like honestly, Percy was the most Loyal guy I knew, I would stand by him on the battle field any day of the week, no matter the enemy" Frank said with pride and I smiled internally "But yeah, give her a chance"

"Anyway, you guys hear about the new powers class that Nico is teaching?" the blond says and I look at him and notice that it's Will

"Yeah, Shad here was the one who got it to happen by scaring the crap out of the gods" Leo said and I chuckled while Frank sighed

"Hey, Shad, can I see your sword?" Nico asked and I smiled as I summoned my blade

"I think I'm going to call it Realm Splitter" I say and they all raise their eyebrows "If I told you the origins of the name, then I would have to kill you" I say jokingly causing them to roll their eyes as I show Nico the blade

"I've never seen anything like it, what metals is this made out of?" he asked and I shrugged

"I found it on my travels, it was embedded in a stone and I pulled it out" I say seriously and Frank raises an eyebrow "Anyway, Jason said something about an event soon?" I asked and Frank smiles along with Nico, Will, and Leo

"Yeah, siege games, it's like capture the flag and war games but we need to siege the fort, and since the gods are helping we can break the walls and storm the opposing fort and the gods can just magically fix it" Frank said and I smiled
