You shake your head, half in awe and half with pride after you scroll through news after news of the boys and their continuous increase in fame.

And it had only been a year since you had all separated too.

You didn't think it was possible for their popularity to keep skyrocketing at a momentous scale but time after time they continued to surprise you.

While they had been busy producing more music and going on endless interviews and tours -which by the way meant they were in high need of a break soon- you had been refining your, what you had soon realized were mediocre skills, and it had honestly been one of the most challenging months you've had in a while.

The amount of room you had for growth had been endless and there was so much more you still needed -wanted- to improve on.

You craved for more.

Janis didn't hesitate in holding back at all and thoroughly made sure she pushed you to your limit, even to the brink of exhaustion, in order to make sure you progressed in the program without waste.

The days where you weren't sharpening your moves were spent studying different types of dances and their histories -something that helped you understand the significance of every type of genre.

You wished that you could say you kept in touch with the boys as frequently as you intended to but that was getting harder to do as time passed...

It was bittersweet but the moments where you guys caught up through video calls and chats had been growing fewer and longer in intervals as well.

With both their busy schedule and your practices, studies and workshops, it wasn't hard to see why that would be so.

It was only when you read all these headliners, did it really hit you that they were in the States again, albeit the west coast, but the sharp pang in your chest made you realize how badly you had missed them all this time.

A little bit of the reason why you kept yourself busy was so you wouldn't be reminded of how lonely some days were without the banter you were used to.

Don't get yourself wrong, you've met plenty of great people and the city was great but the reality was, the arts industry was a competitive one and it was difficult to make close ties to those who had one goal in mind -and that most definitely did not include friendship with competitors.

After reading and hearing the news, all those feelings you tried to keep in check, resurfaced.

Your phone lit up and you paused from the module you were trying to study and the sheen of sweat over your entire figure, from your earlier warmup, glistened under the fluorescent lights of the studio.

You eyed the group chat that flashed across your screen and chuckled.

The only men for Y/N so all you other American boys can gtfo
