. . .
hours became days, and days became weeks yet jeongguk tried his best to make eunwa smile. he avoided such sensitive topics as much as possible, every time eunwa would look at him at his eyes, jeongguk would avoid it.
the doctors would visit them as usual but today is a bit different, they kept taking eunwa every hour for a check up and jeongguk is starting to worry. did something happen? but as much as his curiosity wants him to know, a part of himself do not want to push him because it might hurt him.
there were days that eunwa isn't in the room for the whole day, jeongguk was always waiting for her to come back but eunwa would always come back late. jeongguk never dared to complain, because it isn't like him.
it was eleven in the evening when eunwa came back to the room. her eyes are puffy and her lips became much more dry than the first time jeongguk saw her.
jeongguk plastered his smile as he walked towards her, "eunwa, you're back!" he giggled, eunwa just faint a smile and went to bed. as usual, jeongguk would help her to climb on the bed. eunwa mumbles a small thank you before covering herself with a blanket and was about to sleep when she felt arms wrapping her waist.
"i missed you." jeongguk whispered while his chin rested to her shoulder. those words made eunwa's heart to combust, a paint of crimson covered her cheeks and bit her lower lip. "you are making me go crazy, eunwa. don't leave me like this." jeongguk whimpered between his breaths. eunwa gulped, her vision became blurry.
"i-i'm sorry, jeongguk." she muttered. jeongguk could be heard sighing, "no need to say sorry, okay? as long as you are fine, i'm fine."
but eunwa isn't feeling fine whatsoever.
