a little boy came running towards the park with his free arms in the air with joy printed all over his face. with such excitement, his eyes landed on the flowers scattered everywhere on the ground.

out of curiosity, he picked the flower on the ground. "that's hyacinth." a voice said as he was about to smell the scent of the said flower, he quickly turned around only to see his mom, wearing patient clothes and her hair tied to a ponytail while plastering a genuine smile.

the little boy tilted its head and divert his gaze again to the flower. his mom took a step closer to reach out for the said flower.

"did you know that hyacinths means sincerity? one time your dad made a really big mistake and when he came home, he brought hyacinths for me as a sign of being sincere for his apology."

his mom chuckled, "so whenever you're going to confess to somebody, make sure to give them some of these flowers so that they will trust you." jeongguk nodded then smiled.

he couldn't forget his mother's smile, not knowing that it was the last time he will see her smile like that. she was taken away from him, the only woman he loved so dearly, unfortunately, passed away.

he grew up not having anyone by his side, his father left him for another family, and now he has no choice left but to live in his grandmother's roof until he finish school. yet after several months of staying there, it's time for his grandmother to say goodbye.

it was about her illness that she didn't told jeongguk so that he wouldn't waste his time and continue with his studies. it was her last will to jeongguk.

jeongguk became more broken than he already was. he became hopeless, nothing to hold on until he felt sorry for his mental health. that is when the message reach his father, he immediately accept jeongguk as his son again.

jeongguk, instead of jumping in joy, he became more depressed. he couldn't eat properly, his father kept trying to talk to him but all he got was no response from jeongguk.

until jeongguk's body couldn't take it anymore that he had to be taken to the hospital. his entire body was shaking, and his throat gone sore.

that time, jeongguk was praying that the pain he's enduring would end, he couldn't bear any more pain. how he wished his life would end in that moment. until everything changed.

until eunwa entered to his life.

that woman who is unique above everyone else.

he thought.

because of her, his perspective in life changed. he was given hope and color. he learned to love again, give chances, forgive people and open his heart, especially to eunwa.

how he wished that the moments with her would last longer, because her presence and warmth healed jeongguk. after learning new things about her life inspired jeongguk to become a better person.

even if she's not beside him anymore, the feelings and the memories will never fade, as jeongguk promised.

the wind kissed jeongguk's face, his hand tighten his grip on the luggages as he took a last glance at the ward that he and eunwa formally stayed when they were both patients

the wind kissed jeongguk's face, his hand tighten his grip on the luggages as he took a last glance at the ward that he and eunwa formally stayed when they were both patients. but sadly, only one of them got to leave this place.

it was pretty bittersweet to say, but jeongguk has no choice but to accept it. while walking down the corridor, memories flash together with his moments with eunwa.

he knew he wasn't the only one exiting this cruel place called hospital. he brought eunwa with him, because love will never separate the two even earthquakes tore them apart.

once love is sold, it will never be for sale anymore.
