It was a beautiful day in middle of summer. Forest animals could be heard and leaves shuffled in the slight breeze. The day was made for forest walks. And that's exactly what a certain Artisian and Elistian were planning to do. Go on a forest walk together. How romantic.

LYRA POV

I awoke to the sound of birds chirping outside. With a slight grunt from my master, I already knew what to do. Shifting to my human form I opened the door and stepped out, yelling at the birds to Fu*k off. Propably not the smartest idea, but it got them to leave everytime.

I sighed and shifted yet again, trotting inside and back to my bed. It was actually human sized, for when I would be too lazy to turn back into a dog. Rae tried to find me with her hand, and after awhile she started letting my head. It was a blessing to be treated so well by an Artisian.

The peace hovewer didn't last long, I heard a telephone ringing. From the fact that Rae got up, I guess she heard it too. I whined after her, sad to lose the warmth her hand was giving off. She only shushed me, looked at the screen number and blushed. It was then I realized who disturbed us.

Lari, Rae's.. girlfriend? The relationship was pretty complicated with their species and whatnot. I didn't like the dirty blonde at all and could feel it was mutual, although she didn't care that much. To her I was just a mutt. But I was created by Rae and was kept around, meaning I was important enough.

I truly hated the Elistian. But there Rae goes, wasting her precious time on the failure. Why failure? Because when she was undergoing tests, scientists messed up and she lost most of her power. She can now only open single files of globes, not universes as she used to. She still is useful to Rae, as they transferred Guardians to over twenty planets. And I hate to say this, it's impressive.

Rae was still glued to the phone, talking and talking. But it seemed like they had some kind of plan from what I overheard. Trying to listen more closely, Rae noticed. I knew I was fucked at that point. She opened up a window tab with her finger and searched for 'character programs' finding it in record times. Oh no no no. Her hand slid across different names, stopping at mine. She smiled at me, clicked the 'Lyra.exe' file and deleted it. I could feel my body glitching, and slowly I became nothing but a puddle of ink and colours.

RAE POV

I sighed, Lyra was a good companion. But someone had to write this into the story right? Please tell me it's at least important to the plot? No!? Fuck you real me. I drew that all by myself ya know, all her forms, I programmed her! And here you go, with just a few words she's gone. Forever.

I almost forgot I was on the phone, Lari screaming at me what's going on. It was quite simple, I just told her

"Lyra was.. corrupted. I had to delete her"

I could hear a faint 'finally' but wasn't sure if it was correct. And so we continued with the conversation before Lyra interrupted.

"Ok, so I'll pick you up in a hour, yes?"

"Mhm! That shall be enough, I should probably go shower though, just woke up"

"Sure babe, Love you"

"Love you too darling"

Lari was the first to hang up. I smiled at that, we weren't the classical cringy 'you hang up, no you hang up' couple. Apart from the fact that we were both female. With her being bi and me pan. We didn't even get too much hate, female couples aren't as hated as male ones. While good for us, I still felt pity for them. Most were even humans, they couldn't fight. Lari and I are -Ians.

I didn't think that much about it, as after all, we were humans once too. Before we discovered our talents. Now we basically rule universes. How fun! But I stopped the conversation in my head soon, instead getting my towel and heading towards the bathroom.

Once clean, I quickly stepped over to my closet and pulled out a white tank top, a pastel green skirt and black thigh highs. Quite satisfied with my outfit I put it on. Checking the time, I saw there were five minutes left, and used the time to put my hair into a high ponytail, adding few hairpins because of my bangs.

Knocks were heard at the front door and I swiftly ran over, revealing a dirty blonde girl with beautiful blue eyes. I looked up at her since she was extremely tall and poked her cheek. She giggled at that and hugged me.

I put on my shoes and there we went, hand in hand walking through a forest. It was kinda hot, but the blowing wind made it bearable, even if I kinda regretted wearing a skirt now. Lari kept laughing at how I would tug at it, begging it to stay down. Shushing her meant at least a minute of silence, which I was glad for with my blushing face.

3RD PERSON POV

A brunette ran across a lake, jumping she found herself on the other side. The other girl didn't have such luck, and fell in. It made Rae chuckle, but she quickly returned the hoodie Lari previously let her borrow. She couldn't get sick after all.

And it was not long before they both looked at a beautiful meadow, flowers everywhere and butterflies flying around them. It looked like a paradise. Rae walked over to the centre and started making flower crowns, Lari observing her while playing with a strand of grass.

The taller girl soon felt something on her head, no need to look at it. She glanced at Rae who was smiling, a flower crown of her own resting on top of her head. She scooted over to Lari, pecked her cheek and gently whispered

"What would you like to do next, princess?"
