"She wants a baby Greg,"

"How do we even do that? Do you want one?"

"Me? This is all so sudden."

"Do you want one?"

"Honestly?"

"The thought of having a baby in the house is something I could entertain, only if it's something you are ok with."

"Well, you might have to give me a day, right now it's a yes, but I don't want to jump in so fast."

"I know we said we were done with Lydia Kate but from the moment she asked me about this I just couldn't shake it."

"Well, then screw it, let's get us a baby!"

"Gregory, are you sure about this?"

"When am I ever!" He chuckles, leaning over and snuggling with his wife.

"We are, omg, we are going to have a baby."

"We are having a baby..." Greg happily sighs.

This time the two decided to do a domestic adoption. They wanted to find someone that was looking for a family to take their baby. A hopeful single mother wanting to find the perfect family for her unborn child.

It didn't take long for a woman to find them. She knew this family was going to be the one. For the purpose of the adoption, the couple could only share the woman's name with a few people. There was even only so much she could share online as far as the process was going. She did film as much as she could and would edit her footage for her channel, but wanted to have something to look back on.

They had to tell people but had no clue how. They especially had to tell Lydia Kate. No clue how that was going to go down either. Having wanted it to be simple, they stick to just telling their relatives but filming their reaction so Leta can make a video about it later.

Do they tell the whole family while they are home for Thanksgiving? Do they tell Lydia Kate all by herself first? Hmm... decisions decisions. Giving it some thought, they decide to tell the family at Thanksgiving but separately. They would start with either Charity or Avery. Whoever they thought would be the loudest and get the most people's attention. They would tell them first and hope for a domino effect. Starting with one and letting it keep going. It actually worked.

They picked Avery and upon hearing her scream for joy, a few more people show up and start asking what's going on. Charity is the first to hear and comes running in. She does as planned and continues what seemed like a scream fest. Chad and Nathan would be next to run in with the three kids running in after.

"What's going on momma?" Lydia Kate asks, as she walks in to see the rest of her family congratulating the adults.

"Remember when you wished for a baby brother? Well, mommy and daddy are getting you one!" Leta beams, watching her daughter as it takes her a moment to respond.

"I'm getting one? Really momma?"

"Yes, baby girl. Really."

"The babies momma is due soon; it looks like he might be a Christmas baby."

By now, Lydia Kate is jumping up and down and telling everyone how excited she was. She was going to be a big sister and was going to take that role very seriously. She had to protect this baby because he was her little brother. No one was going to hurt her baby.

"What his name momma?"

"Well, I don't want to tell you yet, we wanted to announce it when he was here."

"I won't tell, I promise."

"Katie, I don't believe that one bit, plus we are in front of family. Who knows, someone else might spill the beans. We are keeping it a secret; you only have to wait a few weeks. I'm sure you can do that."

"It's a boy right?"

"Yes, it's a boy, and the mom is due December 15th."

"I can't believe it's another boy, a friend for baby Greg." Chad smiles, just as he hears his one and a half year old over the monitor. He must have been up. Chad scurries off to get him as the family sits down for dinner. They all can't stop talking about how excited they are for the new baby.
