Rosie,

How are you? It's certainly been a while, hasn't it? I apologize for never writing back to you, but my grandmother, whom if you remember had lived with me in my home, has been very ill for so long... I know you're quite busy, too. How has nursing school been? I recall you writing to me telling of how difficult it was and how tedious all of your classes are. I do hope you've graduated high in your class! I always knew you were so smart and I see no reason why you shouldn't have!

I've been quite well since our last exchange of letters. Though my home still is not very user-friendly, I am managing very well. I'm glad my grandmother allowed me move in with her after I graduated high school because I would have never been able to make it on my own. Unfortunately, my dear grandmother has passed away. She died a few days ago and today was the funeral. I should have written sooner... I know how much my grandmother enjoyed your company. You always made her laugh and smile and she loved you very much.

I am living alone now, and I am finding it very hard to live by myself. I am unable to keep up a job and I cannot get around much. Ever since that accident, getting around has been so difficult for me. I thought about perhaps teaching an art class, but I don't know where I could possibly do that because I cannot even get in and out of my car, let alone drive it. I do hope it is not too much to ask you to live here with me? Here in Seaside Heights, it is very beautiful and there is a hospital here that is most certainly in need of nurses. Rosie, I understand if you do not wish to move in with me, but I must ask you as your closest friend to please help me. We could have so much fun here as well together! It'll be just like old times.

Your friend,
Barbara Ann Pisarski

Barbara Ann,

Hello, Barbie! Yes, nursing school has been quite well, thank you for asking. I did graduate near the top of my class, though not quite on top, but graduation ought not to be all about ranking students.

I am terribly sorry to hear about your grandmother. She was the kindest of ladies and yes, in was very fond of her as well. I wish I could have had the chance to say goodbye to her, but I understand the difficulties that would have caused for you.

As for your offer, I am conveniently looking for a new home and I would be more than happy to move in with you. I understand that you are in need of a companion and that living alone is such a burden for you. I will have my things packed and I will join you in Seaside Heights very shortly. I cannot wait for that day!

Your friend,
Rosie Clark
