Kyle- pov

Most popular guy in the school. Rich, sexy, party animal, who could have anyone in the school boy or girl, regardless of sexuality, at any moment. I am straight, though I catch guys checking me out all the time. My life is absolutely perfect. Of course my best friend Katie would disagree. It is her life goal to get me into a long-term relationship. I don't know why though. I am perfectly happy with short non-serious relationships, or even better one nightstands.

I woke up in an empty bed. It was a refreshing change for once.

I got up and got ready. I looked at myself in the mirror to make sure I looked ok before rushing out of the door. I wore a red hoodie with the hood down and a pair of baggy blue jeans. I combed my light brown hair back, although it still stuck up in all directions. My backpack slung over both my shoulders hanging lazily. I am probably the only person in our school that can make two straps look cool. I hate walking around with one strap it's uncomfortable in my opinion. I walked up to the school entrance when a particular short blonde girl jumped in my way. "You didn't wait for me!" Katie shouted in my face.

"Whatever, short stack," I said pushing her forehead back with my index finger. "How come you're always nice to other girls?" She asked as I began to walk away. "Because they could all be future dates," I said backplane. "Why don't you ever hit on me?" She asked running after me. "That's simple," I patted her head. "You're ugly," I said smiling at her. "At least I'm not a total slut!" She said pushing my hand away and sticking her tongue out at me.

"Whatever see you a lunch short stuff." "I'm not that short!" She was about 5'2 and I was around 6'2. She was short, in my opinion. I ignored her comment making my way to my first hour.

After four classes of hell the bell rang for lunch. I was about to walk out when the teacher called me back. I watched the rest of the class go off to lunch. When all that was left was me the teacher and this other kid who was clearing off the board. The teacher went on to my dropping grade, my lack of interest, etc. I zoned out about halfway through the first sentence. I looked around and saw the kid looking at a paper and writing an equation on the board. The equation was huge and took up most of the chalkboard. He looked at the board and then back at the paper. He changed a few things in the equation before solving the equation.

Who the hell was this kid? The teacher seemed to notice me staring, with my mouth hanging open. "That's Marco he would probably be graduating this year if his parents would let him skip that many grades. So he is just in tenth grade." I nod to her still half in shock. "Hey, Marco why don't you head to launch?" The teacher asked. He turned his body but couldn't seem to make eye contact with the teacher. "I-I would prefer just to stay and work on my math I am falling being my usual scores." The teacher and I both raised an eyebrow. He looked up from the ground for a second and then quickly back down. "I only got up by 25 last time I took it!" I almost felt my jaw hit the floor. Only 25? The average kid goes up about 14!

The kid continued after a pause. "I usually go up by at least 30!" He cried. I looked at the teacher who was pinching her nose and sighing. "You know what just stay. Kyle, do you understand why I kept you here?" I nodded my head, even though I had no clue. "Okay, you are dismissed. I turned to Marco who seemed to be holding back a laugh. I gave him a questioning look. That's when he snapped he burst out laughing. "Miss, carter I will be right back." He stated before grabbing my wrist and pulling me into the hallway. After the door was closed he spoke not looking me in the eye. "You are an atrocious liar idiot." He laughed. "Atrocious?" I questioned. What the hell did that mean... Wait did he call me an idiot? He just started laughing harder.
