The girl walked in the snow, around her snowflakes sprinkled to the ground. Her unprepared body shivered and shook as she stumbled still on, sure she would reach the end soon.

Tears fell from her face and sizzled once they hit they hit the ice. Her heart heavy with so much grief, so many deaths.

Screams.

Knives.

Blood, so much blood.

She walked and walked and walked until she could walk no more, her legs screamed for mercy and her muscles froze, she finally fell. Her fingers stiff, her lips blue and her body cold.

So cold.

"I am a girl of Ice and snow." She whispered and her frozen mind laughed. "I am a frost maiden."

She said happily, recalling a tale her grandmother had told her. Watching the snow slowly as the flakes slowly buried her drove her to smile and say. "I am snow and ice, Ice and snow."

Laughing comically as the snow slowly turned her insane, suddenly she was sober. "I am the cold. I am so cold." Were the last words that fell from her frozen lips.

Slowly her eyes closed, slipping into a blissful dream with warmth and family.

She never woke up.
