"I've never been here before." I exclaimed over the light music.

"It opened a few months back, by Mr. Fisher, a very wealthy man here in Finch. His. idea last away, and her dream was to open a restaurant.  And so he did." Ethan said. He led me to a table.

"It's..well...lovely!" I say, I barely had anything to say.

"Yeah." Ethan said, we slowly sat down across each other.

"What's is like to be so young and run a whole pack?" I inquired. We both ordered a soup. There were breadisticks already on the table,  and I nibled at the egde of mine. He had a small little frown on his face. It was kind of funny.

"Well,  I mean my parents taught me at very young age. Like all soon to be alphas, I didn't like the responsibility that came with the title.

Then when I turned 17, my dad passed on the position. Its usauly a little later but he thought I was ready." He began.

"That must have been hard...." I claimed. Looking away for a little while.

"Can I ask you a question?" Ethan blurted out after several moments of silence. I glanced up to see him hard in  concentration.I nodded my head, "Anything."

"When you said you were afraid of dying. What did you mean? Are you afraid of the actual event of dying? Or are you afraid of the people who will be affected?" He marvelled.

I frowned. I honestly didn't know, so I told him that.  He continued with, " OK, so then let me ask you another question?Would you rather to live or do you want to survive?"

"To survive of course, there isnt a question. there really don't a difference! As long as you breathing right?" I sighed.

"Well, would you rather be a beautiful flower or a non liked weed." He asked.

I smiled and shook my head. " Why a beautiful flower of course!" I exclaimed.

"But I thought you said you wanted to survive. A simple weed can survive, but cannot live relief in one place. And while A beautiful flower may belong, it does not last forever. " He confided.

His speech had me thinking..Was I really afraid of doing nothing with my life?  I hadn't noticed my soup getting cold and the rest of the evening slowly wasting away.

Soon we were heading home. We parked and sat on the swinging porch at the back of the house. We sat in silence. That was until little Ava, Nick (The beta), and  two others guys. One who I recognized as James, the third in command came running put the house, searching frantically. Than finding out faces.

"Wow, guys. Calm down! What's going on?! What's got yall running around like mad man?!" I hollered. What can I say? I was a Texas girl. My little accent and speech are usually under control, except when don't catch myself. That was part of my life I didnt want anyone to know about. Everyone was lucky enough to be to bothered at what Eva said next.

"Eric is missing. Little Chris, Starr, Brittany, Nadeen, Josh. We can't find them, they didn't come home from pre-school."

No!! Okay, Nikki, do exactly as I say! My wolf demanded. I told them exact was she told me. She knew how to handle the situation better than me, and she probably knows the pack better than me.

"Okay. I want every tracker and every warroir out there searching for ANY evidence of false play. Call the school, the advisors, Check every camera from there to here!  They can't be very far, make sure to check every blind spot. If they were taken, they were taken somewhere disclosed, like a shortcut that runs start into the woods. Anything!" I shouted, already making my way into the house. Ethan and Eva stared at me in shock, it would have been funny but it was a too serious situation.

"Stratch that, we need to play smart. Not  'we just lost out children' mode. I want 10 guards positioned in and around the area. If they have any brains, they will decide to attack now at our weakest and stupidest moments. I'm getting really tired of these fucking rouges!" I quickly added. My frustration was building you, and somehow the inner mother in me stepped out. I noticed all of them look to there Alpha for confirmation. I rolled my eyes, if they new better. They would listen to me.

It made me think of what Ethan said about being a good Luna.

I rushed into my room to grab a different pairs of shoes and a different pair of cloths. I was so not ruining another dress.

That's when I noticed the little note tapped to my balcony doors. It was wide open and the newly installed curtains flew everywhere. The words I said next had my shock and sullen feelings kick in.

Dear Nikole.......
