One Thing Chapter Seven

~~~Rivers POV~~~

"River, wake up!" I heard a voice whisper, I groan and hear a loud laugh, "River, we are leaving, its time to get up," the voice said.

"What time is it? I was enjoying my peaceful sleep," I groan with my eyes still closed, not even attempting to move.

"It's 4:07 in the morning," The voice, who I think is Louis, said. I groan loudly.

"Too early. Carry me," I grumble. I hear a sigh then I feel myself get lifted into a pair of warm arms. I snuggled close to Louis' chest. I feel Louis start to walk and I hear a couple of laughs.

"Whats up with her?" I hear Liam ask.

"Shes tired and asked me to carry her, so I agreed and here we are now," I hear Louis explain.

"Okay, well I'm driving, (A/N: I know Liam can't drive, but it fit so, yeah, lol) Zayn is knocked out in the passegers seat, Harry and Niall are passed out in the middle row, so River and you have the very back row," I heard Liam explain. I guess Louis nodded because soon I felt myself get put down on a comfortable seat. I heard shuffling then I was pulled down and I'm guessing my head was now in Louis' lap. I internally shrugged and snuggle closer into his lap as he stroked my hair. I soon fell into a deep sleep.

~~~Louis' POV~~~

I sat in the back of the car, stroking Rivers soft hair. She looked so cute and relaxed in my lap, like she wasn't having nightmares. I realized that I couldn't hold back my thoughts of River, I wouldn't say I was in love with her yet, but I sure had a strong liking for her. It was like there are something pulling me towards her. It was so frustrating! I sigh loudly and I see Liam glance in the rear-view mirror.

"She likes you, you know?" Liam asked. I looked at him confused.

"What?" I ask him. Liam chuckles.

"I see how she looks at you," he says as he changes lanes on the highway as we head to the airport.

"And how is that?" I say with a bitter laugh at the end. Liam checks the drivers side mirror before glancing into the rear-view mirror again.

"She looks at you like you're her hero or something, I don't know, but you too are so blind! You both look at each other the same way I imagine Dani and I look at each other. I've never seen you look at a girl like that, not even Eleanor." Liam said. Eleanor is my ex-girlfriend. (A/N: Okay, I know Eleanor and Louis are still together, and I LOVE Eleanor, she gorgeous and nice, but I had to make her and Louis exes for the story to play out correctly (: ) I thought she was the one I would marry, but it didn't work out well in the end.

"Yeah right, Liam, you should get your eyes checked, I think your seeing things. River would never look at me like that," I shake my head as I say that.

"Then everyone must be seeing things, because not only do the lads see it, but even my parents! Don't think you can hide anything," Liam chuckled. I snort.

"Ha- Wait, you lot were talking about River and I? When was this?" I exclaim. Liam opened his mouth to reply but was cut off.

"Last night after you too went to bed, now, will you too shut up? We are all trying to sleep," Harry rumbled rudely. Liam and I fell into a silence

I couldn't help but think about what Liam said, about the way River looks at me. That can't be right, can it? UHG! Why is everything so confusing?! Sometimes I just wish I could tell River how I feel. But I know that won't happen because I will ruin our friendship and I would rather have her put me in the 'friend zone' then lose her forever. I groan quietly before I continue to play with Rivers hair. before I know it, Liam has pulled us upto the airport.
