JUNGKOOK

-

I... Feel tired... My eyes could barely open, especially since there was a glaring light shone upon me. I was in a bland looking room, and my back ached like hell, my body felt stiff and I felt... like a new person. "You're finally awake, thank god." My head snapped towards the sweet, angelic voice. Boksil was sitting there, her legs crossed as she sat on a nearby chair. "Stop protecting me, would you?" What? "You got knocked out again. Get some muscles, Jungkook!" She slapped me jokingly on the back after I sat up.

Me, protecting you? Who are you to think so highly of yourself, Boksil. She leaned in, close to my face. Her long eyelashes fluttered against her rosy cheeks. "I told you I don't like you that way Jungkook-ah. You're like a brother to me." I blinked. "Let's just be best friends, alright? Come on, I've gotta go to Yoongi Oppa's after this." The minute I nodded along with her words, I knew I didn't have any control over the actions that were happening right now.

The two of us walked out of the nurse's office, clad in yellow school uniforms and bright smiles, well from what I can see anyway. We passed a window of a classroom and I saw my reflection. I had a mix of dark brown, almost black hair and I looked extremely young, at least for me.

"Noona, how long was I out this time?" My voice sounded the same, but I was surprised I was even talking to this girl. Noona?

"Hmm..." Boksil glanced down at her wrist, where a black watch laid. "2 hours." The younger and alive me nodded. We passed through the gates of the school and turned left. The sky was hues of pink, orange, and yellow, the sun could be seen over the horizon. "Since I'm going to Yoongi's, we'll have to split up halfway."

'I' smiled. "It's fine."

It had been around 30 minutes since Jungkook passed out and everyone was freaking out. They were still in the girl's house for some apparent reason. "Why did he faint? He clearly doesn't like any of us." Yoongi scrunched his face up cutely.

"That's what I'm trying to figure out." Namjoon rubbed his temples and tiredly ran through the scenarios in his head. "My previous theory could be wrong as well, I don't know." Jimin bit his nails nervously. Taehyung was screaming, running around with a wild Hoseok following after him. Seokjin was shaking the boy, lightly slapping him and calling his name. "He's been unconscious longer than Hoseok was and Jungkook hasn't had anything happen to him before this." Yoongi huffed at the extremely obvious information, letting his teeth sink into his bottom lip.

"This isn't going to work."

"This is it." Boksil waved at me. "Bye Kookie! I'll see you tomorrow."

'I' waved back. "Bye Noona!" Bye Noona! I mimicked myself in a bratty voice. 'I' watched as Boksil turned the corner of the block and eventually turned to walk in another direction. I huffed, younger me was so boring. Where's the death part? Where's all the fighting and gangs in this neighborhood. I'm sure that's better than this. Why did I end up in hell, the only thing that happened so far is my oh-so-tragic rejection, big deal...

"Hey! Loser!" A voice called out. I scoffed, who are you to call me a loser? Come here and I'll whoop your ass- "I heard you're trying to make moves on my girl. Let's see who really deserves her." 'I' shook in fear, turning around slowly to face my opponent. The person yanked on my collar so I would hurry up.

A tall and muscular teenager was staring down at me. "Come on, fight me you punk." 'I' clenched my fists and attempted to punch the guy. Flailing my skinny arms and kicking my short legs, I tried to hurt the boy in any physical way. This resulted with me flying into an alleyway, spitting out blood and groaning in pain. I winced as I passed away quite quickly with a buff guy beating the hell out of me.

It ended with him walking away, muttering something about me getting blood all over his new uniform and how Boksil was all his. My eyes fluttered close and I felt myself becoming weaker and weaker by the second. I heard a distant call of my name, the voice sounding extremely similar to Taehyung's. But my eyes wouldn't open, I was basically dead.

Footsteps pounded against the pavement of the alley before they stopped next to me. The fuzzy sound of sobbing and police sirens reached my ears, before everything turned quiet.

Boksil was right. I really did need to get some muscles.

-

"Guys, he's awake." Taehyung and Hoseok paid enough attention to the eldest to hear the words. They both rushed over to check on the wheezing boy. Jungkook's features were twisted in pain as he rolled out of Seokjin's arms, his agony being too much to handle.

"Hey, Kookie. Are you okay?" Jimin asked softly, placing his hand on the demon's shoulder. The demon didn't respond, his eyes screwed tightly shut. The boys surrounded him and waited for his anticipated reply.

He let out a mutter of curse words too soft for Seokjin to hear before whispering, "I believe." Jungkook gasped as he snapped his eyes wide open and stared at Jimin. "I really do believe in your words, Hyung. We really did know Lee Boksil."

The demons and angels yelled out and shouted for Jungkook to stay awake, but the youngest didn't hear them. "We really did." Darkness had taken Jungkook again.
