"Your mother or friend don't know about this. We've decided to keep it private and let you decide."

You urge for her to give you the notepad and pen on the side table to the left of you.

Bring them to me.
---------------------------------------------------------
"Lily! My baby are you okay?"
Your mother rushes into the room accompanied by seven.

You nod and write on the notepad.

Everything is going to be okay.

She hugs you tightly, seven looks at you from behind her.

You're trying not to cry.

Why does he look better than before?

"Are you sure everything is going to be okay?"

He steps in.

Yes.

"I'm putting my faith into you. I won't be here tomorrow, so I'll have to come visit you the day after.

That's okay, I'll be waiting for you.

He gives you a sweet smile.

"It's getting late, do you want us to leave?"

Please, I'll talk to you tomorrow when I'm feeling a little better, I just have a headache and I'm really tired, that's all.

That's all.
That's definitely all.

They both exit the room.

You're all alone again.

You look down at the notepad and pen and clench your fist tightly.

I'm so sorry...

You lay back and shut your eyes.

---------------------------------------------------------
The pretty nurse comes into your room again. It is time.

"Okay dear, we're ready to perform surgery."

She looks down at the ground with a gloomy look as she says the next sentence.

"You've said your farewells."

You had to lie.
You thought it was for the best.
You thought it would prevent hurt.

You nod.

"That's good. Don't be scared though, we're going to bring you right back!"

You close your eyes once again.

---------------------------------------------------------

"Alright guys, this is a delicate procedure, we need to do our best to try and get her through this."

"I have the shots prepared."

"Good"

They hook you up to more machines, ones to help your breathing and one to help keep track of your heart rate.

They begin the surgery.

"Scissors, needle."

"Are you sure this is going to work?"

"No, it won't."

The nurse that always came into your room looked down towards the floor then back at the surgeon.

"So this was a waste of time?!"

He puts down the scissors and looks at the nurse.

"This isn't a waste of time. This is called practice. The girl wouldn't have lived no matter what we did. She was used as a human subject, was abused as a kid and we drugged her so much hoping that she would stabilise?"

She clenches her fists in anger.

"You couldn't have even hoped for the slightest. So this is basically a suicide?"

"A suicide that wasn't planned."

"But this was planned? Right behind my back! This is wrong. Do you know how much she wanted to come out of this surgery alive? The looks in her eyes, she was so sad. Despite her past she wanted to live. She was still hanging on. She had many things to live for, yet you can't even FIX a disease that there is a cure for!?"

"Yes, there is a cure Lisa. But do you know hoe much they cost? They're all the way on the other
side of the world. Do you want to let the girl die slowly or die quick with no pain?"

She slams her hands onto the metal table.

"You can't tell me how to do my job, letting the girl die slow or not. Of course I would take care of a patient. You on the other hand, you just want to experiment and take a risk with everything you get handed to you. You SICK fuck."

"You have hope for the people you know are going to die. That cancer patient from 2 years ago, why didn't you just secretly plug out her life support and say that she passed away?"

"Because that's not how things work. Families deserve to see families. It's their decision not ours. YES, she had cancer, but she deserved to see the world. She even asked me to try my hardest to keep her alive so she could see that eclipse. And she did. She died happy."

"Pathetic."

"You're the pathetic one here, not giving a fuck about other people's lives. You're meant to be a surgeon, not some sadist."

He continues to work on her body.

"This may actually work."

The nurse calms herself and looks over to Lily.

She's sad, so empathetic, she feels bad for you.

But finally,

After hours of surgery, it comes to an end.
