You were sent to the hospital with seven accompanying you throughout every minute.
You continued to wonder why he sent you to the hospital
Then you had gone into shock. A violent seizure.
---------------------------------------------------------
Doctors
"The seizure went on for about 5 minutes. The boy that sent her here had said that she had suddenly collapsed when she went to stand up."
"You know what these symptoms are from?"
"Yes sir, however I am going to look further into the issue before I make the statement on that the diagnosis is true."
"Very well, I want you to see me as soon as possible once you have the answer."
The nurse walks out of room 12 and approaches Lily's mother.
"You must be Lily's mother?"
"Yes."
The young boy that was standing next to her was the boy who told you about all of the symptoms.
"May I talk to you both for a moment?"
"Of course."
"So, have you had any um, nervous system problems or anything like that in your family."
"No. Seven. May I ask you to leave the room for a personal conversation between me and this nurse?"
He nodded in approval and left the room toward the waiting bay.
"What was that for?"
"My daughter had cases of blurriness and loss of hearing when she was a kid. I have a note from a doctor, when she was little. She, also had walking difficulties.."
Lily's mother begins to cry, making out the words she says hard to understand.
"Did your doctor tell you what type of disease?"
"Polio."
---------------------------------------------------------
Times passes by but you regain your consciousness. You're staring at the hospital ceiling once more.
You don't feel well, you feel weaker than before.
A nurse walks into the room and comes over to you.
"Ah good sweetie, I'm glad to see that you're awake. I'm just going to take you to a room downstairs to examine more into this sickness okay?"
You can't speak or move, so you blink at her trying to indicate that you are saying okay.
She rolls you through a grey hallway, you struggle to breathe into the mask.
"She's here."
Suddenly, you are surrounded by doctors.
"We're going to put you to sleep so we can..... examine closer on why you're this sick okay?"
You close your eyes.
5,4,3,2,1.
---------------------------------------------------------
"Her mother told me she was diagnosed with polio as a kid but the symptoms disappeared as she became older?"
"How is that possible exactly?"
"I don't know.."
"Since it has disappeared from when she was a kid, she is now diagnosed with major polio now I suspect."
"That seems to be the way."
The doctors continued talking about your diagnosis.
You began to have breathing difficulties about an hour later, causing them to have to rush you back to the room and give you machines to help you breathe.
---------------------------------------------------------
Beep beep beep.
You wake up to the sound of a machine going off, but realise it was just a noise it made, so nothing was going on.
You look out the window and observe the surroundings, the sky pink with a setting sun, the glare glistening off the buildings.
You want to talk, but you can't.
You can't talk to yourself to give yourself company since your mother has basically abandoned you and you have no idea of the whereabouts of seven.
As you divert your attention to your hands, you close your eyes, then being interrupted by the door opening.
The same nurse has come in to check on you on what feels like the 8th time.
She takes a big deep breath.
"I'm sorry to break this to you, but you've been diagnosed with major polio, so one side of your body is paralysed while in the meantime, your brain cells are being affected. It somehow caused you to have a seizure before which lasted for quite a long time, we thought we were going to lose you."
She comes closer to you with a notepad and pen in hand.
"Also, when we were examining you, you began to have trouble in breathing, explaining the machines you have on."
You try to raise your hand but get an electricity reaction going up through your body.
You whince.
"I recommend for you not to move, though, I need you to write an answer for me."
You look up at her.
"This is a paper that you will need to sign if you want to go through surgery to try and fix polio. There is a negative side to it however, you may die in the process because of the state you're in and we can't wait because you won't get any better. We've drugged you with too many medicines."
I see.
