Atonement

Baekhyun didn't come out at all from his bedroom since he came to Baekbeom's apartment. Baekbeom asked with concern, "Baekhyunee, what's wrong? Do you wanna talk about it with hyung?" Baekhyun hugged Baekbeom and cried. Baekbeom patted Baekhyun's back gently to calm Baekhyun. "It's okay... Just cry... Let everything out," said Baekbeom.

Baekhyun fell asleep after crying for an hour. When Baekbeom wanted to leave Baekhyun alone, he just realized that Baekhyun's cellphone screen was flashing on incoming call because Baekhyun had set his phone to silent mode.

Baekbeom grabbed Baekhyun's cellphone, he saw there was an incoming call from Chanyeol. Just when he wanted to answer the call, suddenly the incoming call ended. He saw a notice of 20 missed calls appearing on Baekhyun's cellphone screen.

Baekbeom returned Baekhyun's cellphone to its place but then he saw a notice of incoming message on Kakao Talk popping up on Baekhyun's cellphone screen. "Baekhyun, please talk to me," Baekbeom read the Kakao Talk notification in his heart. "Did Baekhyunee and Chanyeolee have a fight again? I wonder what has happened between them that makes Baekhyunee cry like that," Baekbeom thought while staring at Baekhyun who was sleeping.

Everyone had come back to the rented house on Saturday, 2 days before the summer holiday ended, except for Kai and Baekhyun.

When Suho, Sehun, Chanyeol and Kyungsoo were having breakfast together on Sunday morning, suddenly Kai showed up with Jungah. Jungah came with two large boxes of seasoned fried chicken in her hands. The four of them got up from their seats to greet Jungah by nodding respectfully.

Jungah bowed and said, "Please everyone helps Kai because he is still not allowed to move his right hand for the next 5 weeks. It will be hard for him to do everything which requires his right hand. Please help him." Sehun said with a wide smile, "Noona, you don't have to do this. We will help Kai gladly. He is our friend." Jungah smiled and said, "Thank you, Sehun-ah."

"I know it's useless to say this, but I am really sorry for what happened to Kai. It's my fault that Kai became like this," Kyungsoo said with guilt and regret. Jungad said with intense stare, "If you feel sorry then you must take good care of my dongsaeng. You must atone for your sin, don't you think so?" Kyungsoo nodded in silence.

"Noona! Please don't say that to Kyungsoo hyung. He is also a victim, just like me," Kai defended Kyungsoo. Jungah glared at Kai. Kai looked down. Jungah smiled broadly and placed two large boxes of seasoned fried chicken on the dining table while saying, "This is Kai's favourite food. Please enjoy it. I hope you guys like it." Everyone said thank you and then they started to eat the fried chicken.

Kai ushered Jungah to her car. "Are you sure you wanna stay here? Noona can take care of you better than your friends here," said Jungah. "I know... But here is close to the university. I will be careful with my wound. Don't worry, noona," Kai replied. "Okay," said Jungah, then she drove away.

30 minutes later.

Everyone gathered in the living room. The five of them spent time together for hours to talk about how they spent their respective summer holidays. They ordered pizza and pasta for lunch. They ate instant noodles at night, then they returned to their respective rooms except Kai. Kai went to lie down on the couch in the living room.

Kyungsoo returned to the living room and called Kai in sudden, "Kai-ah." Kai answered, "Yes?" "Let's take a shower. I will help you," said Kyungsoo. Kai mumbled in startle, "Ehh?" "Come on," said Kyungsoo. "Hyung, you don't have to do that. My noona  just overreacted. Don't take her seriously," said Kai. "I don't do this because of your noona but I do this for myself. I won't be able to forgive myself if I don't do this," said Kyungsoo.
