Chapter 7 - Frankie's in trouble

Authors Note: Hi, I’m really sorry I haven’t uploaded in like 2 weeks but I was really busy and then I got ill so I couldn’t write. Anyway I’m better now so here is the next chapter :)

Chapter 7 – Frankie’s in trouble

Frankie and I were both standing in my bedroom staring at each other. We both didn’t know what to do. He had just told me that he was the wolf and then kissed me. This was a lot to take in. My mind was confused and I had so many questions I needed to ask him.

“I know this is a lot to take in and handle” he said. “I need you to know that I have never told anyone about this. Ever.” He looked sad and hurt.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

“There’s more that you need to know about” he still looked sad but it changed slightly into worry. “I’m not the only one.” There was a long pause before he continued. “You know I introduced you to Alex and David”

I nodded and he smiled for a split second.

“Well, their wolves too” he whispered.

I gulped and suddenly my mouth felt completely dry.

“Are you shocked?” he asked.

I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t believe it. This stuff only happened in stories and now it was happening in real life. In my life. I simply nodded again and he carried on talking.

“We change into wolves when we get too cold. The cold changes us” he was speaking very calmly considering he had never told anyone any of this.

My mouth finally got back it’s moisture and I could speak. “So it’s not just when there’s a full moon or at night?” I asked, probably sounding like an idiot who had seen too many movies.

He laughed his deep manly laugh and grinned. “That’s not true. The only thing that changes us is the cold.”

I nodded again. All I seemed to do was nod but I didn’t really know what to say. I had never been in that situation before.

“Look I can’t go into that much detail right now because we have school, but tomorrow night at my party we can talk about this.” He smiled and took my hand.

“Yeah, can’t be late for Mrs Bull” I giggled. Was he my boyfriend now?

We arrived at school just on time and at break everything was going just like a normal day. Frankie hadn’t told me to meet him at break today and I thought something might be up so I tried looking for him anyway.

I wandered around all the corridors and then as I was walking I heard Frankie’s voice.

“Listen guys, I have something to tell you” he said

I poked my head around the corner of the wall and I saw Frankie standing there facing two guys that were leaning against the wall. Alex and David.

“What’s up?” asked David, casually.

“What I’m about to tell you is really important and you need to promise you won’t hit me” Frankie said while staring at the floor.

I swung my head back around and fell to the floor. I sat leaning against the wall with my head in my hands. Was he going to tell them that I knew? What would they do when they found out?

“Man, what’s wrong?” asked Alex.

I felt my body get hot. If they found out, what would they do to me?

“Promise you won’t hit me dude” repeated Frankie.

“Ok, ok we won’t hit you. Were like brothers anyway” replied Alex.

Frankie swallowed and it was so loud I could hear it from where I was hiding. I felt really bad putting him in this position.

“You know Violet?” asked Frankie. They must of nodded because he continued almost straight away. “This morning I picked her up from her house and she was crying when I got there.” he paused and then continued. “She had broken up with her boyfriend.”

“Dude, what’s this got to do with us?” asked Alex.

“Yeah, do we need to know this?” questioned David.

“YES! You do” shouted Frankie. “Just let me finish. When I’m done you can then talk. Ok?”

“Ok” they chorused. I quietly giggled to myself. They were both scared of him, or he was the leader of the pack? Something like that.

“I was comforting her and then she came out with it. She asked me if I was the wolf” he whispered.

“What did you sa-“ Alex was cut off by Frankie, who continued talking.

“She knew I was the wolf and so when she asked me I said yes.”

I felt faint and my hands were trembling. I gulped and I tried to stand up. My legs shaked and I had to cling to the wall to keep me from falling over.

“I also told her about you guys.” Frankie’s voice was croaky and I knew this was really hard for him.

“What! Why?” shouted Alex.

“Guys, you don’t understand. I love her” he whispered. The way he had said it I knew he really meant it. My heart fluttered and I felt all warm inside. Is this what love feels like?

“NO! We don’t understand. How could you do this to us?” Yelled Alex. He was definitely the talker out of him and David.

“I love her guys and I can trust her!” Frankie yelled back.

Then SMACK!

I turned my head back around the corner and saw that Alex had hit Frankie straight in the face. His nose was bleeding already and I gasped.

I ran and stood next to Frankie. I stared into his beautiful purple eyes . “Are you alright?” I asked, my voice shaking.

“I’m fine babe” he said while he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled my body so we were hip to hip.

“Don’t you dare hit him!” I yelled. “He didn’t do anything wrong. I knew he was the wolf and he just confirmed my suspicions, but I knew I was right anyway.”

There was silence. All three of them just stared at me.

Frankie removed his hand from my waist and smacked it against Alex’s face. He then suddenly punched David. What the hell did he do that for?

They both fell to the ground. Frankie took hold of my hand and dragged me away. He turned his head back around just before we turned the corner. “Don’t ignore her or disrespect her EVER” he snarled.
