Turn Down For What?!

The Next Morning.

The next mornig I went for a walk because I had to make a few phone calls and I did not want to wake Nessa or Chance. Nessa had a really tough night. I called Ms Judy, my social worker. I explained everything to her. She made a few calls and informed me that since I was turning 18 soon that I am no longer a ward of the state. I was extremely happy. I wanted to tell Chazz but, first I had to call Mr. Stein, my father's lawyer, to check on my finances.

"Hello Miss Smith. I have been waiting for your phone calls."

"How are you Mr. Stein? I am sorry about that. I had a lot going on."

"Don't apologize Miss Smith. But I do have some news for you. Are you sitting down?"

I got so nervous. After lastnight I really do not need any bad news. I asked Mr. Stein just to give me the news.

"Miss Smith.... well....I handled the things your father asked me to. And.... it looks like you have a total of $75,000,000."

I couldn't believe my ears. I was estatic because it was way more than I expected to get. My father set me up nicely. I thanked Mr. Stein for the news and the hard work and dedication to my father that he had over the years.

Since there was a Denny's nearby, I decided to pick my family up some breakfast.

Back at the hotel

When I got back to our room Nessa was sitting on the bed dressing Chance. I smiled at the sight of them. Nessa looked up and smiled and greeted me. Chance smiled and reached for me I picked him up and handed Nessa the bag of food. I sat at the desk in the room and told Nessa that I needed to talk to her about something.

"Nessa, I first want to thank you for being my best friend and cousin. Your not just my cousin your more like a sister to me. I truly appreciate how you love and care for Chance like he's yours. Im sorry about last night. You deserve to be treated so much better than what Marie was doing. And since my father is not here you, Chance and Chazz are all the family I have. I promise together we will move mountains. I want you to know that I believe in you. What do you want to do in life?"

Nessa had tears streaming down her face. "No Phoenix thank you. These few weeks have been amazing. No one has ever been as genuine to me as you. Girl, I do not plan on ever going back to that house and you do not have to apologize she deserved everything you gave to her." We both laughed a bit. "But I want to be a fashion designer." she smiled.

"That's impressive but I got you. We are going to look into what we need in order for you to become a world famous fashion designer. I need your help...."

"Ok cousin, anything..." Nessa said looking concerned.

"Relax! I just need your help in finding us out a place to stay" I said.

She screamed with excitement causing Chance to scream. He was bouncing and screaming and clapping in my lap and did not have a clue as to what was going on.

One Week Later...(Monday)

We purchased a beautiful 3 bedroom 4 bathroom condo in Miami across from the American Airlines Arena. I was in a really good place. With all of the good things going on right now it is time for a much needed celebration and since Chance's birthday was coming up and we have a beautiful home, it was the perfect excuse... I mean reason to have a celebration.

Saturday

Since we moved into our home we have seen a bunch of celebraties. Mario Chambers even lives in our building. The party was being held at the clubhouse of our building, I did not want people messing up my place. The party turned out great. People were bring Chance, Nessa, and Me gifts because it was a double celebration. Everyone was there. Chazz and his parents, Valentina, Matthew, and even a few of my Miami Lakes friends. One of my childhood friends even showed up, Melcita. Omg!! I missed her. I hadn't really had time to talk to her since all of the drama in my life went down. I was really happy to see her because we needed to catch up.

The party had a bounce house, a train, a clown, a dj, and even spiderman. (I had to give his party a theme). The party went really well. Everyone was happy. The catered food so delicious. It was time to cut the cake. Just as I was about to go to the dj booth I heard Nessa on the mic. She asked for everyone's attention. She rolled in a projector and faced it on a blank wall. I was so clueless as to what she had rolled up her sleeve.

"Everyone it is time sing Happy Birthday to the lil man of the hour, Chance. But before we do so I have a special guest."

The projector turn on and I saw my father's face. I was so shocked and happy. I covered my nouth in disbelif and cried tears of joy.

"DADDY!!!" I screamed.

"PopPop" Chanced screamed.

Everyone started to sing Happy Birthday.

Chance was walking up to the screen trying to touch his grandfather. My father cried and everyone at the party AWWED! I told my dad that I loved him and we said our goodbyes. Everyone hugged me and clapped and cheered including Chance.

I walked up to Nessa and hugged her and thanked her so much. She told me that Chazz helped her set it up. I found Chazz and hugged him tight and kissed him as well. I loved him so much.

Since I was feeling so good I told all my people that we are continuing the party and going to the club later. TURN DOWN FOR WHAT?! 😜 Chazz parents happily agreed to watch Chance.

Later that night...

We were at the club vibing. I was so happy things in my life seemed like it was getting back on track. I was surrounded by my girls; Nessa, Melcita, and even Valentina. Of course Chazz was there looking so damn good. I was in my zone and the dj was just amping me up. He played sons like Rich As Fuck and Rich Homie Quan Walk Through. I was just about to sit down but my song came on; Na Na by Trey Songz. I went looking for Chazz so I can grind on him cause that Peach Ciroc had me feeling some type of way. So he maybe get some tonight. He is definitely going to get it.

I made my way to him and was so shocked at what I saw......

Chazz P.O.V.

I was at the party chilling. My bae was dancing and vibing. She looked so good dancing. I loved to watch her dance. She was swaying her hip and shit. Oh yea! She is getting the D tonight! (in my Bernie Mack voice). As I was watching my bae, the crazy girl Valentina walked up to me and began touching on me telling me how good I look. Is this bitch crazy Phe will kick her ass. But something about her was off. Her pupils were all dialated. This girl was high. I pulled her to the V.I.P section to sit her down and to get her some water. Right there in the middle of the club the girl pulled out some white stuff and snorted it. I was so shocked. I have never seen anyone do drugs before. Then she did the craziest thing.... she started back talking to me like nothing happened. Then she straddled me and kissed me.

I tried pushing her off before Phoenix saw her because Phoenix will kick her ass. But it was too late. Phoenix, Nessa, and Melcita rushed over and snatched her lil skinny ass up. Phe slapped the shit out of her and Valentina ran off. Then turned to me and slapped me. I aint goe lie that shit stung.

"I told you Valentina couldn't be trusted." Nessa told Phoenix.

"I picked that up eariler at the party. I saw how she was flirting with Chazz." Melcita chimned in.

Phoenix just looked at me in disbelif and disappointment. She was so hurt. But all she said was "How could you?"

She didn't even give me a chance to explain because the 3 of them walked off and left me sitting there. I got upset, then touched my pockets. I was a little relieved when I felt my keys. I am glad I drove....
