Not My Baby!

Phoenix P.O.V.

It has been about 2 weeks since I went to visit my dad. I have been feeling a bit down because of the fight I had with my father and I haven't talked to him since. I was sitting in the den kinda watching Black Ink, I mean I would look up at it every now and then but I wasn't into it. Chance was sitting on a blanket playing with his toys. I asked myself how would I feel if Chance was to become a drug dealer. As a parent I would not like it. I guess my father just wants the best for me. On the other hand, the money is so damn good and I love that I can take care of myself and the people that I loved. I need to go for a run to clear my mind. But before I do I should consult with my partner, Jose. I called him and he did not answer. I sat on the couch a few more minutes then my phone vibrated, it was a text from Jose.

Jose: Hey Boss. Everything ok?

Phe: Yea! I just needed your advice on something.

Jose: I can't talk but I can text. What's up?

Phe: Would you be mad at me if I told you I wanted out of this game?

Jose: No boss, not at all. You want out? Who's going to take your spot?

Phe: Yeah. I just don't think this is for me. It's all yours!

Jose: Thanks boss. I will buy you out and show you how to invest your money.

Phe: thanks Jose. We will meet up later.

I was feeling a lil better but still needed to go for a run. I got off the couch and knocked on Nessa's door. "Hey Phe, what's up?" Nessa asked opening the door. "Hey Phoenix." Matt said sitting up on Nessa's bed. "Hey Matt. Nessa I am going for a run do you mind watching Chance for me?" I asked Nessa. "Sure no problem. You know I don't mind." She said coming out of her room. I couldn't help but notice that Matt was putting on his shoes. "Oh Matt you don't have to leave. If ya'll was busy then I will take him with me." Matt walked towards me,"It's cool I was actually on my way out I have class." "O. Ok. I guess I will see you later then." I said. "Ok." He replied. He and Nessa began to kiss. "Ewwww!!" I laughed breaking up their kiss. "I love you. Call me when you get out of class." Nessa told Matt. "I love you more. Ok." Matt said as he placed another kiss on her lips. I walked into room and changed into my pink Nike sports bra, my black Nike running tights with pink trim, my pink and white Nike Free Runs, and threw on my black Nike running hat. I walked into the den and kissed Chance and told him that I would be back and to be on his best behavior. I told Nessa that I would see her in a bit. I walked towards the door and grabbed my ipod off the counter on my way out. I had a really strange feeling that I was being watched. I shrugged it off and put in my ear buds as I exited my building onto US1 and began my run.

TWO HOURS LATER.....

I walked into my home it found it empty. I didn't think nothing of it because Nessa always took Chance somewhere. I put my ipod on the Bosse dock and undressed and got into the shower. The different angles from the four shower heads felt good against my aching body. I showered from head to toe. When I got out I undressed and sat on my balcony outside of my bedroom to write in my journal. After I finished writing I noticed that the sun was setting. I walked into the house to check to see if Nessa had come home. She didn't. I heard a sound coming from the den. As I walked closer towards the den the sound got louder. I looked over the back of the couch and saw that it was Nessa's phone, it was vibrating in the cushions. It was Matt. I answered hoping to hear Nessa's voice telling me she was safe and that she forgot her phone. "Hello!! Hello!!" It was Matt. "Hey Matt, what's up?" I asked. "Where's Nessa? I have been calling her for an hour." He stated sounding upset. "I don't know I was about to ask you the same thing. She has Chance." I said starting to worry more. "Leme check to...Shyt!!" I yelled. "Phe! What happened?" Matt said with a knot in his throat. "Get here now!! Her keys are here. I am really worried now." I said frantically. I heard my phone ringing so I rang into my bedroom and saw that I had a text. I opened the text and saw a picture of Nessa and Chance tied up and gaged. "NO! NO! NO!... NOT MY BABY!!!" I yelled and blacked out....

When I came to I saw Matt, Jose, Chazz, and Mr. and Mrs Wilson hovering over me and I was in my bed. Everyone was asking me if I was ok. I wanted to think that what I saw wasn't true but all of their reactions towards me was telling me that it was true. I got outta my bed and began to pace. Chazz hugged me. "Phe what are we going to do?" he asked with red puffy eyes. I looked around the room and could tell that everyone in this room was crying. I also noticed that Jose was out on the balcony on the phone pacing. I opened the sliding door. He stopped pacing and turned to face me. He ended his phone conversation. "Boss, I know who has Chance. I know where they are at. I am about to round up some soldiers and I am going to bring them home." He said grabbing my hands looking me in my eyes. I shook my head and said "We! We are going to bring them home." I said. "This could get messy, like the last time. You can handle it?" he asked me. I nodded and walked into the house. I instructed everyone to stay at my house and that me and Jose will return soon with our family.
