          Hello, hello, children of mine!

It's been such a long time since I've updated this book, and let me tell you that I have exciting news for you. I've been teasing it on Quotev for over a year, and I think I'm finally ready to tell you.

On Quotev, I've mentioned over and over again that I've been working on a secret project, but I never specified what that project was. Well... you're reading the project. My "secret project" is that I've been spending a lot of time fully revising this story. I've been fixing the plot, the setting, the characters, the motives – everything about this story is getting treated with a dose of TLC. Now, that in and of itself isn't exactly surprising, as I mentioned that I was planning to rewrite the book into an original fiction to then get it published...

The surprise is that I've changed my mind.

I will not be publishing this book as an original fiction. It will remain a fan-fiction, and this time I'm actually going to finish the story. This time, I'm actually going to give you that sequel, and not only is there going to be a sequel, but this is going to be a trilogy telling the lifelong story of these characters and this world. If that's not enough for you, then I've got even more great news. There's going to be a prequel as well, telling the story of Notch, Hero, Ender, and Estol back before and during the war leading up to our trilogy, explaining everything you'll probably be asking, and revealing things that shed new light to these characters and the main five of the trilogy.

Now the bad news. I haven't actually rewritten "This Isn't Me" yet... but I have started. I wanted to wait until Winter Break was right around the corner to tell you about this. I'm going to be spending as much time as possible this break writing the story, and hopefully I'll get a lot of it done. I know in the past I've had major issues with keeping promises and sticking to schedules, but now that I'm on medication for my ADD as well as my depression, I believe I can do this. I believe I'll be able to sit myself down, and work throughout the break and the beginning of this upcoming semester, to finish the revisions, and get the story rewritten for all of you. I've had lots of motivation to write again ever since starting my medication last month, but with me being behind in school and only now getting caught up, I haven't been able to write anything. I would have loved to of had the story rewritten by now, as a Christmas gift, but just getting it done is enough for me, whether or not it's a holiday surprise.

I'm sick and tired of letting you all down, of letting myself down. I'm not going to make a promise to any of you that this'll be done sometime soon, as that isn't logical and it'll only be a lie. But I will promise to try, and to keep trying, and no matter what I'm not leaving this story unfinished. There's a lot that I fucked up in the original version of this story. I fucked up Estol, Hero, and Notch's characters, none of you understood what actually happened with Ty, and a lot of the minor details were never clearly stated. The story was so focused on Ty and Adam that Ian, Mitch, and Jerome's characters all suffered from it, and I'm not letting that happen again. These characters have stories to tell too, and this time you're going to hear them, and you're going to see them, and you'll finally understand what I've known all along.

"This Isn't Me" isn't going to get a title change like originally planned. It will remain "This Isn't Me". The sequel, however, is not going to be called "This Is Me". That was a horrible decision made on a time crunch without any thought to it. The story didn't have any plot and I was literally shoving garbage down your throats. Nothing in "This Is Me" that you've previously read will be the same. The second book in the trilogy is now going to be titled "This Isn't Us", and the third book following will be "This Isn't Over". The prequel will, naturally, be titled "This Isn't Them", to stick with the repetitive theme of the titles. "This Isn't Us" has a plot in development, and I'm almost finished with it's bare bones, meaning that the story itself will most likely go up mid to late next year (hopefully, no promises).

In the past, when trying to rewrite the story, I had planned to take down the original version of TIM. However, due to multiple requests from many different people, I won't be doing that. The original chapters of TIM will remain up, retitled as "Draft" chapters: "Draft 1", "Draft 2", ect., for all 24 chapters. The newly revised version of the story will be given the titles of "Chapter" chapters. The reason for this is because on Fanfiction.net, you cannot have two chapters with the same titles. It's the same reason why in the BOO, one-shots are labelled the way they are: "Merome-1:", "Merome-2", ect., with all the different ships.

I hope you're all as excited as I am, and I promise I will be trying my very best to get the new chapters up soon. Seeing as it's the same story, however, I'll be publishing these new chapters in bulk, not individually. You'll most likely receive notifications of 12 or more chapters all published for the same book on the same day, so be ready to binge. I know it sounds undesirable to reread the same story again, but I beg of you – READ IT AGAIN. The revised version, though the same story and the same plot, is going to be vastly different from the original. It's going to be more mature, more graphic, more descriptive, and I promise that you won't understand TIU if you don't reread the new version. The story will be different from the original version straight out of the gate with the prologue itself, and you'll quickly pinpoint differences throughout the first chapter. I highly doubt you'll find yourself bored, so take my word for it: the new version is going to be great, and you'll love it.

Please leave comments and questions; I'd love to hear what you have to say. I reply to everyone possible within a timely manner, so for those guests reading on Fanfiction, make an account so I can actually reply to you! I love talking to people and hearing their feedback, so don't be shy! If there's something you'd like to see in the revised version, let me know so I can take it into account when writing the chapters – and if there's something you don't want to see, let me know! I'll make note of it! I want you all to feel involved, as I love each and every one of you, truly. I love to talk with you guys, to read your witty remarks and have banter-ful conversations with you. And, as people prior can attest to, I may or may not have loose lips and by talking to me, you may or may not get spoilers/teasers/hints.

Sometimes I can't stop myself. It's pretty bad. I've spoiled entire plots to stories by just talking before... I'll try to be careful when talking to all of you. No one likes spoilers, right?

Anyways, we've hit the 3-page mark, so I should wrap this up and get back to school work (online schooling has its pros; I'm technically in school right now). When I get the first half of the book finished up (or more likely, what I perceive as "half") I'll be posting the chapters to Wattpad first, as it takes the longest to upload chapters. I try my best to indent the paragrpahs, but Fanficiton won't allow it, and Wattpad doesn't allow the tab key to be used so I have to put 10 spaces for each. And every. Paragraph. You're welcome Wattpadians, I cramp up my fingers to make reading easier on your eyes! Quotev will get the chapters next, and last but certain my favorite to update as it's the easiest website to use, Fanfiction will get the chapters. It'll probably take, like, 5 minutes to get 12+ chapters uploaded to fanfiction... so Fanfictioners, be prepared for a storm of emails.

That's all I think... I hope I'm not forgetting anything? Well... I suppose I could give you a sneak peak... ;p

Suddenly, someone upstairs is making a lot of noise, things getting tossed around until eventually the resounding thud thud thud thud of Mitch's footsteps ring out in the hallway and rush down the stairs. The particularly noisy stair doesn't even have time to complain about Mitch abusing it with his foot from how quickly he rushes out of the stairwell.

"Good morning~!" Mitch happily, loudly calls, embracing Jerome and planting a sloppy, wet kiss to his cheek. Ian groans, the silence destroyed as he lets his head fall against the wooden table with a loud thud of his own. "And good morning Ian!" Ian mutters a curse word, but it's too unclear to tell what the word is. Mitch snickers.

Figured I'd give you something subtle and humorous, to tide you over for a bit... and to prove that I have actually written something... Look forward to the revised version, and I guess that's it! Thanks for reading this far!
