Remus jumps when Tonks kisses his cheek which causes her to laugh. "Easy there."

Remus blinks at her.

"You didn't hear a word I said did you?"

Remus gives her a sheepish look. "I'm sorry. I'm listening now." He says turning towards her.

"What were you thinking of?" Tonks asks while she sets their empty coffee mugs down on the coffee table.

Remus pauses for a moment. "How grateful I am to have you." He smiles.

"No really."

"That's really what I was thinking of. If it wasn't for you... well I'd be alone."

Tonks pouts. "You were alone for a long time Remus but you won't be anymore." She smiles as she takes his hand.

"Good," Remus says leaning in and kissing her.

Tonks slowly pulls away from the kiss with a playful grin. "You won't be saying that for long. Soon you'll be begging for an escape and some alone time." She laughs and places his hand on her stomach.

Remus laughs as he feels the baby kick. "I don't think the baby likes me touching you. It's telling me to stop snogging Mummy."

Tonks playfully hits Remus and giggles. "No. The baby is just excited you are here."

Remus keeps his one hand on Tonks's stomach and wraps the other around her. "There isn't anywhere else I would rather be."

Tonks snuggles closer to Remus. "Me either."
