Meeting them

You know, I found it strange this morning. How my eggs were perfect, the coffee has the right amount of creamer. How there were no leaves or sand for me to clean, the neighbor's dog wasn't digging out my backyard. Things that I had to do every morning before I left for work was no where. I thought it was a lucky day, so I took a job because I had time.

The forest that I usually visited on the weekends was quiet, almost eerie. The birds were quiet, animals disappeared so I though maybe it was too early. It was 5 o'clock after all. How wrong I was to think that.

I was almost done jogging on my way back to my house when I saw it. I didn't have much time to think or act before everything went black.

The creaking of the doors were the first thing I heard when I came to. They were dragging them to close, almost like the door was hanging on to it's hinges. There was a stinging sensation behind my head, I knew immediately that whoever snatched me out that forest, hit me up in the head first. There were metal bars all around me, dark and slimy; I'm in a cell, but this isn't the only one.

There are multiple cells in the room I'm in. People are bound by rope in these cells, women, men, even little children no older than twelve years old. There were a few who still were banging on the cells, crying and screaming for help but most of them had a look in their eyes that scared me. It's like they had given up on fighting to get out. The ones trying must be new, dragged in here the same time as me. I thought my morning was too peaceful from the start, and look where it got me.

My heart constricted when I saw what was guarding the cells.

These things definitely weren't human, they were bigger, broader, at least 7 feet tall. The looked nothing of human. Their skin green like grass but looked more like mold. There were large pimples all over their skin with a yellow slime substance oozing from it.

Now I know what that slime substance on the cell was.

They had horns, curved backwards almost like it was digging into their scalp, teeth that looked short and jagged with spaces very big between them, almost the same as an alligator. I swear I might as well kill myself before this goes further but I can't leave my brother, not after all I did to get him out.

I noticed just at the end of the cell was a little nail in the floor. I tried to secretly grab it but I felt eyes on me, staring intensely. Those hazel brown eyes that belonged to that stranger made me feel so curious to know who he is and why he wasn't in a cell like the rest of us but his pale skin made me cautious, I mean how can somebody be so white? He stood at least 6 feet tall, his dark brown hair curled up on his head, and his skin, so tan but so pale, does such a human being even exist? Was he even human?

I didn't even know when he appeared in front of my cell. His hand grabbed me as he held such a firm grip on my hand that I couldn't break free from him no matter how hard I struggled. He grabbed my arm and peeled my fingers open. The nail fell out my hand with a clink and landed on the cold floor. I was persistent as I kept trying to break free because this girl was a fighter and she wasn't going down easy.

"Feisty one, aren't you?" he whispered for me to hear only. I froze as I listened to his voice. It was calm, soothing as if he was trying to ease my fear. I knew he was a stranger, probably a murderer by how he was out there and I was in here but something in me told me I could trust him.

"I'm glad my voice helps you, I can tell it keeps you calm."

"How'd you? How can you tell? No, who are you?" I asked. I was shocked at how he knew that.

"Actually I can read your emotions, tell when I make you scared, calm, horny, at least you're smart." he whispered huskily in my ear.

"Who is this obnoxious prick? Let go" I muttered under my breath

"You'll find out soon" he replied.

"I'd rather not. You're weird"

Now I'm curious, why the hell did they kidnap me and just what are those things? Where exactly am I and who was that prick?

"We'll give you $80,000 for her so you can be done with it. Release the rest of people. Wipe their memory and put them back where you found them. We found her so there is no need to keep the rest here" He finally said

"Eighty thousand dollars?!" I yelled.

What the fuck!! For what? And who is we? Even the man he was speaking to was shocked at the price. He just stood there, mouth gaping open as this mysterious man scooped me up bridal style out the cell and walked out the room. I just sat in his arm, dazed, shocked and confused that I forgot my intention from the beginning. He was completely different from the rest of hideous creatures in that room, Although they were obedient, they were still scary looking.

He walked out of the building that stood in the middle of the woods, high and proud.

There was someone standing outside the building when we descended the steps. I saw him, standing in the direction the man who was carrying me was going. My mouth dropped at the sight before me. His skin was just as tan as the other one, blue eyes the color of the ocean, curly hair that looked like strings and pale white skin, this bitch is definitely white.

As soon as the other one put me down I made a run for it. Before I could make it to any distance, hazel eyes was in front of me. I froze, my feet coming to a halt as I stared at the man who appeared in front of me.

"What the hell." I whispered, stepping back. How'd he get here so fast?

"Wrong move, love" he grinned.

"You don't even know where you are love and you're running?" He added. And he was right, when I looked around I only saw trees, trees and more trees. Where the fuck am I?

" I can answer that but you need to trust us?" I heard someone say. A scoff escaped my mouth before I could hold it back, trust them? Trust two strangers who just paid money to buy me from things that weren't human? I should have done more than scoff.

It wasn't the hot shot hazel eyes in front of me so it had to be the one with the curls standing behind us. Trust you? My temper about just exploded.

"Trust you? Trust you? I was jogging this morning when something hit me upside the head. You see this? Bruised"

"I wake up in what looks like an auction house with men and women, even children! Fucking children! Tied up in cages like cattle waiting to be slaughtered and then the two of you good looking men whose names I still don't even know decided to buy me like I really am cattle and now I'm god knows where, probably being dragged off to become a prostitute and you're telling me to trust you? Oh no, it doesn't work that way." I finished as I gasped for breath.

After minutes of the three of us silently staring at each other the one with the curls finally starts talking to the other one.

"That was unexpected, didn't think she'd react that way and they kidnapped her? I thought they just supposed to lure her here like the rest?"

No shit sherlock.

"They didn't have the cloaking spell so they had no choice to knock her out."

Hazel eyes finally responds " I know you're not gonna trust us easily but we're not gonna touch you without your permission but right now it's not safe for a human to roam this forest without a bite mark"

"Hold up, a what? Did he just say a bite mark and humans aren't safe without it? Does that mean they're not human? Does that mean you aren't human either" I questioned slowly stepping back.

Hazel eyes interrupts me.

"Look its getting late, are you coming with us willingly or do one of us have throw you over our shoulders?" He held out his hands for me to receive it.

I had no choice so I decided to take his offer but I'm still asking myself, what did I just accept?

What world did I just get dragged into?
