I was in my garden watering my herbs when Shadow raced up to me and told me that Zayn, Kira, and Silver had found a injured girl. I immediately ran to the surgery room and washed my hands. They had brought her to the downstairs rooms because the upstairs one was for patients who had been treated and just needed to be watched.
I had seen some gruesome injuries in my time; hell I almost had to piece Kira's head back together like a jigsaw puzzle, anyone else would have been dead on impact; but I was frozen in shock as I took in the girl's blood drenched shirt and the missing flesh that revealed the skull underneath.
