why is this happening

     *Emma's POV (Finally)*

Of course it was the same routine, Lilly wakes me up and the whole thing starts. But when it was the end of the school Lilly got a call and her eyes were widened. "Lilly are you ok?" I asked with a concerned face, she was still looking at the ground for a few minutes then slowly nodded. " Yeah, let's go" she said then ended the call, and with that she grabbed my wrist and ran. When we got there she ran in her room, I put everything in place and went to her room. I sighed as I was about to knocked, and then I heard " Please let me be alone for this" her trembling voice said, then I sighed  and said " ok, just see me in the kitchen after" and with that I walked away.

* Lilly's POV *

I was crying softly and trembling, 'what does he want?' Then at that minute he called again, I slowly got my phone and answered "what do you want?" I said sternly. "Woah, that's no way to speak to your father, is it?" As he said that I pulled my knees to my chest. " your not my dad, and I could care less" I said, I heard a ruckus and walked to the door. "Don't you dare go outside of that door" he said, I groaned "I said your not my father" as I put my hand on the handle. "Stop it, I can go over there and beat you like I used to" I stop in falled in front of the door. With that I turned and had my back on the door, knees up to chest like before. " I'm done playing games, leave me alone." I said then ended the call. I then got fixed and went down and saw Emma with a plate of cookies, she sighed and said " it's you dad again, am I right?". I was shocked 'how did she know?', she chuckled " I heard your conversation, sorry" I walked to her and said "Why did you say 'again'?" Emma's face had a hint of blush the she said "it happened last week remember"  I backed away and said "No you can't hear my calls, I don't want you to get tangled in my mess". ' Why is this happening?' I thought 'why me?', I got Emma's shoulders  and pulled her to me and seted her plate on the table. "Let's go" and then I  pulled her to the couch, and laid down then said "let's forget about the past, and lay down with me, ok?" Emma smiled and noded her head. After a few minutes we fell asleep.
