Chapter 6 : Best Friends Forever

Splendid ran as fast as his legs could take him as he charged after the Fate, dodging the slashed of her knife along the way. Splendid didn't want to hurt her but at the same time he was enraged by her words and actions. 'Don't worry Faith, I promise I will bring you back. Even if my life is at risk, I'll get you back,' with that he fought face-to-face with the she devil. Punches and kicks didn't faze him as she one after the other; he then grabbed her by her long green hair and forced on the floor.

"How could you do this to Faith?! Faith is a determined, sweet, and caring girl and would never hurt anyone only if she had a good reason," tears fell down his face as he wiped them away. "Hey. At least I'm the one with a hole in my heart," an evil grimace formed on Fate's face as she looked him in the eyes. "What do you mean by that? I don't have a-" but Splendid couldn't even finish his sentence when his chest was being destroyed by the blade of Fate's knife.

Blood covered the floor as Splendid fell to the ground, he coughed up almost a whole pint of blood. He tried to get up, his strength was draining out of him but Fate just pushed the blade deeper into his skin. Blood gushed out of he wound as he screamed in pain, in fear in dying, in fear of leaving Faith with HER.

~~Flashbacks of Splendid's Past~~

11 years ago Splendid was sent to earth, his parents didn't want him, they knew the minute he was born he was a huge mistake. They sent to earth to hopefully find one family to take care of him. He was only 5 years old, a homeless orphan who didn't have a family since he went door to door and no family took him in as his own. Instead he had no friends, family, and no home to live in; that is until he met Faith, she was 7 years old and her parents were deceased from being in a war. She helped him build his own house, where she also built her house; every since that day Faith finally found her first friend.

Splendid would always help Faith with every single problem she faced, and in return she helped him become a superhero. Those two were always together even though the townspeople didn't really enjoy their appearance in public. Faith would always stand up for Splendid when he was insulted, and when Faith was hurt he would drop everything he had and do his best to help her.

~~End of Flashback~~

Stains of blood were splattered al over Splendid's clothes, tears started to fill his eyes as he took his last moments of his life and took out the sapphire locket that Faith had given him when they were kids. "Since you and I are friends now, I'd like to give you this locket. Now whenever you look at it, you'll always have proof of our everlasting friendship," Faith had said that day;

Fate then propped Splendid up in a sitting position and whispered in to his ear, "any last words before you die.. sweetie??" Her maniacal laugh echoed in his ears as she stroked her blood-covered fingers through his hair. Splendid took his hand and gripped  and gripped Fate's and whispered back with his blue eyes wide open, "Best.. Friends... Forever" with that he placed his hand on her cheek, but then his hand fell down as death consumed him. In the process, he had also took the emerald locket off her neck.

All the memories flooded into Faith's brain as her mind went from vengeance to justice. She looked all around her and found nothing but a gruesome scene of corpses and nothing but blood. "Splendid!! Stay with me!! I'll have no one! Please.. I love you," she then saw the blood-red knife that Fate has used to stab Splendid. She then grabbed it and grasped the green and blue lockets in her left hand and pierced the knife in her neck.

Faith then felt her body laying on something soft, when she opened her eyes she found herself in her bedroom, a ice pack cooling the top of her head. When she sat up Splendid walked through the door, tears were running down his face as he walked over to her and buried her in a hug. She easily gave in to his hug and tugged at his clothes and forced him into a warm passionate kiss. Faith felt all of the sinful, despicable, horrific behavior she had kept inside of her suddenly disappear. All of those horrible things that had happened was all just a horrifying nightmare. Tears filled up her eyes as she and Splendid separated, she was cured, all thanks to Splendid.. she had finally learned to love her best friend.
