The car ride was long and awkward to say the least. Well, at least for Leigh- Anne it was. Since Jesy was the only one with a car, she drove. Jade sat in the front beside Jesy, and the two made light conversation. Leigh-Anne would be lying if she said she didn't feel a pinch of jealousy seeing the two smile at one another.

Who could blame her, though? Jesy was undeniably a gorgeous girl, and she had a past with Jade. Hell, Leigh-Anne didn't even know if Jade even liked her. Were the feelings she once had for Jesy still there? The questions flooding through her head were bothering her greatly. She shouldn't even be worrying about this right now. This time was for Jade, yet here Leigh-Anne is wondering if Jade likes her like some school girl.

The drive felt like hours even though it couldn't have been more than a hour tops. Soon, the dreary building came into view. Leigh-Anne was feeling nervous, and it wasn't even her father they were going to go see. Jade looked calm, though and that made Leigh- Anne feel better. She still felt a bit sick to her stomach.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Jesy was the first to break the silence. It had been awfully quiet once they parked. The older girl placed her hand on Jade's and gave her a sympathetic look. Leigh-Anne rolled her eyes, her eyes basically burning a hole into the other girls' hands.

Jade stared off into space as she was lost in thought. Well, that, or the tree that the girl's eyes were trained on was very interesting. She took a deep breath before nodding.

"If I don't do this now, I never will," she looked from the tree to her lap. "I need answers, and I feel like I deserve them. for me and for Maggie."

Leigh-Anne noticed Jade flinch at the mention of her sister's name. the look on the girl's face was unreadable, and Leigh- Anne assumed that not even Jade knew how she felt at the moment. Scared to see the man who abused her. Sadness that her once good life came to this. Anger for the damage he has caused to the ones' he was supposed to love.

"Thank you," Jade had turned in her seat to look at Leigh- Anne. You didn't have to come, yet here you are. I know this may seem simple, but to me, this means everything."

Leigh-Anne desperately wanted to tell Jade that this wasn't something simple. She was doing a brave thing that many people couldn't do. This brave girl was facing the man who tortured her. Who murdered her family. Who left scars on her body, and abused her mentally. He damaged her in so many ways, and it was permanent. Jade would never go back to her once carefree days. The things she has seen and experienced would haunt her forever.

"Well," Jesy smiled, trying to lighten the mood. "We can go in if you're ready, Jade."

Jade took another deep breath and shut her eyes. She stayed quiet and began to nod her head. Quietly, she began to mumble words that neither Jesy not Leigh-Anne couldn't understand. It was as if she was having a full blown conversation in her head with someone.

Well, Jade did have voices in her head, Leigh-Anne thought. The girl looked away as if she was giving Jade time alone with Maggie or whoever else was inside that pretty little head of hers. Instead, Leigh-Anne tried to focus on other things.

She reflected the situation Jade was in to her own life. Her parents hadn't done anything nearly as bad as Jade's father's actions. Hell, the man killed his own wife and child. Jade was trying to talk things out with this evil man, but every time Leigh-Anne's father or mother tried to call she ignored it when the nurses said. When they tried to visit, she would act as if she were ill or asleep. Maybe this experience will open up her eyes to view family and forgiveness in a whole new light. Well, unless Jade and her father turn out into a bad situation and Leigh-Anne wont have to listen to her parents pathetic excuses.

"Okay," Jade opened her brown eyes and put on an obviously forced smile on her lips. "I think I'm ready."

They piled out of the car, and Jade tried smoothing out her purple dress. Leigh-Anne was sure that Jade had asked over a hundred times if her hair looked okay, or if she needed to redo her makeup. This confused Leigh-Anne, because Jade didn't have to impress this man.

"This is for you Maggie."
