"When do you think it will wake up?" A soft, almost muffled voice asked.

Silence.

"I dunno," a more deeper voice replied, "Must be a hard fall, I guess".

Frisk flinched, when they felt a fluffy hand softly poking their temples. As they opened their eyes, a sharp pain shot up their skull. Frisk shut their eyes, stood upright, and rubbed their head. Never knew a simple RESET could create such a headache, they thought to themselves.

As they reopened their eyes, they met eye contact with something unbelievable. Something that they never thought in any RESET would see. Their eyes widen, as the fluffy goat-boy stared back with excitement and relieve in his golden-yellow eyes.

"Asriel..?" Frisk murmured softly, enough for no one but them to hear.

"Finally you're awake!" the goat-boy gleamed, before hopping out of the room shouting "Mom, mom! it's awake!".

Frisk was still dazed, but couldn't wrapped their head around it just yet. Where were they anyway? Frisk glanced around the room and met eyes with a human child sitting calmly on a bed across them.

Panic began to rise, as they remembered the dark void, and a pair of blood-red eyes staring at them with tar falling out of them like tears. Frisk started to back away, looking as if they're trying to combined themselves to the wall. Only one person came in mind every time they look at the child.

Chara.

Frisk stared at them with widen eyes, as they stared back at them giving Frisk a confused and concerned look. The longer Frisk stared at them with fearful eyes, the more awkward these few seconds became for Chara.

They shift their head to right and continued staring back at Frisk with a hint of uncomfortable-ness in their green eyes-

"Green eyes? " Frisk thought, recalling the moment where Chara pointed the knife at Frisk at the last run. They remembered the piecing blood-red eyes staring sharply at them, while taunting Frisk about their rektless decision.

But in this situation, that simply wasn't the case. The only pair of eyes staring at them were emerald-green eyes, which looked very uncomfortable.

After realizing that they were probably staring at the human child for a overly long period of time, Frisk immediately breaks the eye contact. Feeling their cheeks flushed red in embarrassment, they scanned the room in silence to avoid making a fool of themselves again.

Frisk was sitting on a bed that is placed to the far right of the squared room. Chara was sitting on the bed across them, now enjoying a book. Beside the bed Frisk is laying on have a bunch of stuffed animals and toys, which make Frisk assumes that they are sitting on Asriel's bed.

Confusion began to arise in Frisk, as millions of questions popped into their head.

How is Chara and Asriel alive?

How did they survive the buttercup incident?

What happen to this timeline?

Before Frisk can put more thought into those questions, the wooden door opened up, revealing a taller goat wearing a long, purple robe displaying the Delta Rune on her chest, and Asriel jumping around screaming "It's awake!".

Frisk stared at her in awe, before tears started to pour out of their eyes. The fallen human stood up from the bed and sprint up to the goat lady.

Toriel gasped, once Frisk grabbed her and wrapped their small, frail arms around Toriel, pulling her into a tight embrace, to which Toriel have no problem with.

"I'm sorry.." Frisk sobbed into Toriel's furry arms, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..".

Even how sudden or confusing this was for the loving goat mom, she still holds Frisk like they were her very child, assuming that they have a rough time on the surface. She pets Frisk with her white, fluffy paws, before looking back at her children.

From what Toriel saw, Chara was as confuse as she is, and Asriel looking as if he is ready to bawl his eyes out.

After a while, Frisk began to calm down after feeling a uncomfortable sensation on their right arm, which was the time where Toriel think it's the appropriate time to release Frisk from their warming and welcoming arms.

"Please be careful, child," Toriel said, wiping Frisk's eyes, "you still haven't recovered from the fall yet".

"The fall?" Frisk thought to themselves, " From every reset, I was perfectly fine every time I landed. What could possibly happen-".

Frisk's eyes widen, as their body began to shake a little. Frisk's right arm was covered in bandages, explaining Frisk what the uncomfortable feelings were. They tried breathing slowly to calm down, but nothing could calm them down when the memories started flooding in.

They remembered the flooding black goo, the bloody knife, and the 1st fallen human slashing their arm to remind them of their sins.  Their sickening scream, their soft but firm voice taunting Frisk about their stupid actions. Everything about the last reset was physically and mentally draining.

Toriel noticed how Frisk was turning pale by just looking at their arm, and gave them an ensuring hand, or rather paw, on their shoulder.

"It's okay," Toriel said sweetly, "It will heal soon, don't worry".

Frisk snapped out of their question-mind zone and gave Toriel a nod, to which she smiled at. She turned back to the her children and said,

"I was about to inform you that dinner is finish". She turned back to Frisk, and with her usual kind hearted smile, she leaned a paw to them.

"Would you like to join us?".
