** ALICE'S P.O.V. **
My head feels like its been bashed in i thought as i sat up. My memory came back to me when i opened my eyes to find myself in the middle of a giant crater somewhere in the forest. "UUGGGHHH' i groaned, "this is going to be fan- fucking- tastic" i thought to myself.
I got up off the ground and looked myself over, i was badly bruised and sore but i had no broken bones or twisted anythings. my magic must have lasted long enough to protect me before fully draining into the necklace. I grabbed the necklace in my hand and squeezed it, i vaguely felt my powers warm carress.
I brushed the dirt off my clothes before starting to walk in what i hoped was the direction of a road or at least a trail. After half an hour i found a walking trail and followed the signs to a road. I sat down tired, that was new i rarely ever got tired it must be from literally being drained i thought before noticing a car coming my way.
I stood up and put up my thumb, the car stopped and i walked over to it and getting in. The driver was a chunky dude in his early 50's and by the looks of it he was a divorced drunk. His truck was littered with garbaged but i managed to ignore it. "Where to sweetie" he asked me and i smelt alcohol all over his breath. "Where am i"? i asked him he looked at em strange before telling me i was in poughkeepsie, near New York. "Okay" i said "then take me to the nearest township." We drove for a while before he dropped me off outside of a motel.
I walked away from the motel and into the town square where there was an outside market. I walked around for a while pick- pocketing people and going back to the motel to book a night and to use a payphone. Back before the bridge broke and all the king drama took place i used to visit midgard and made a few friends, one of these friends involved a girl named shelby who lived in new york. I dialed shelbys number and she picked up on the third ring.
SHELBY: hello who is this?
ALICE: hi shelby its me alice.
SHELBY: hey alice its been a really long time how are you?
ALICE: not so good actually i need your help.
SHELBY: what happend are you okay?
ALICE: actually no i crash landed unexpectedly and dont have a plan, money or a place to stay after tonight.
SHELBY: well where are you you can stay with me until you get set up.
ALICE: im in poughkeepsie i hope this isnt too troubling.
SHELBY: its no problem at all where are you staying, i will see you tomorrow
ALICE: im staying in a motel called moonlight dreams.
SHELBY: okay then i will see you tomorrow bye bae.
ALICE: see you then bae.
I hung up the phone and walked to my motel room and unlocked the door. i walked into the room only to see that it was a cheesey room that themed with the motels name. There were stars and a moon painted on the wall and the ceiling was painted to looked a galaxy. I smirked before going into the bathroom and rinsing the dirt off myself. I walked back into the room and took my sword out of the pocket in my jacket, and i felt something in my jeans pocket. I put my hand into my pocket and pulled out the necklace and earings loki gave me, i smiled a little before putting them into a closing pocket in my jacket and locked the door before throwing myself down face first onto the bed and laying my head on the pillow while my hand was under it curled around my sword.
I woke up the next morning with a pounding headache and it hurt my back to just get up off the bed. I walked into the bathroom and splashed water on my face before hearing a knock at the door. I crept out of the bathroom knelt on the floor and rolled to the bed grabbing my sword before inching toward the door and throwing the door open while decompacting my sword. Shelby screamed and jumped back as i just lowered my sword and smirked. "DONT EVER DO THAT TO ME AGAIN!!" I laughed and she punched my shoulder. I stopped laughing and started to clutch my shoulder in pain, everything hurt and i felt like shit. Shelby noticed and asked me what was wrong, "Its a long story i will tell you in the car." How about you tell me as i treat you to breakfast she asked me? "I will definately not object to that" i said as i followed her to her car.
