After a few exhausting minutes of trying to get Yurio to stop swatting viciously at Viktor, Otabek And Viktor both fell asleep. While Viktor lays across Yuuri's lap, Otabek is leaned slightly back in his chair, not touching Yurio. Yurio is listening to music with his hood on and phone below the table while Yuuri pets Viktor's hair. Yuuri looks up at Yurio, sympathetic expression on his face. Yurio glances up from the dim glow of his screen.
"What?" He says, hissing a whisper.
"Oh..um.. can I ask you a serious question..?"
Yurio types swiftly on his cellphone, and mumbles,
"Shoot."
Yuuri looks down timidly and twists his wedding band.
"How do you really feel about Otabek..?"
This makes Yurio stop typing abruptly and slowly raise his head, meeting eyes with Yuuri, who's clearly petrified. He glances at Otabek, making sure he's asleep before answering,
"Viktor didn't tell you I.. have feelings for him? I told him nearly three years ago.."
Yuuri stops stroking Viktor, smiles, then frowns. Yurio looks at him, confused.
"What?"
"One, ha! I knew it! Two, ...why didn't either of you tell me..?"
Yuuri looks genuinely hurt, to Yurio acted fast before tears came.
"Don't get your panties in a twist, Nikiforov, Viktor probably just forgot like he always does."
"And why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I don't favor talking about it, if you can't already tell."
"...Oh." Yuuri looks down, then back at Yurio, smiling.
"That's ok."
"Huh?"
"I understand you'll always be closer to Viktor than me, and that's fine."
Yurio lets a small smile slip onto his face for just a second.
Yuuri smiles, then turns and reaches under Viktor's seat. He pulls the deck of cards from the bag and starts shuffling.
"Want to play again?" He asks.
Yurio raises his eyebrows.
"Are you going to bet over 1,703 yen?"
"Absolutely not!" Yuuri says happily.
Yurio rolls his eyes and smiles
"Fine, but I'm betting the same amount."
They take out their wallets and place them at the corners of the table. They play until almost 1am, but Yurio cut it short by folding and giving Yuuri then 1,703¥ that the latter had won a while ago. Sure Yurio has a perfect flush, but he figured he'd be nice for a change. Besides, he already has his extra 2,972 ruble along with 6,658 tenge he'd save for the future. Yuuri put away the cards, unknowing of Yurio purposefully throwing the game. They all slept until the plane landed.Woo woo money conversion has been fun for the last chapter, but I'm done with that now. Kitakyushu, Japan, here we come!!
