That girl... you can see her walking towards the library every single day. More often than not, she is alone. Although everyone who knew her knows that she is as friendly as anyone is, a lot of them wouldn't accompany her inside her known 'subduing of emotions' inside the room of silence. The books gave her comfort and the library gave her head its temporary tranquility.

The librarian knew her by face, if not yet by name, from how frequent she visits. She would go through aisles, looking for books that grabs her interest. She will take her seat at the third table from the entrance, on a chair near the window overlooking the vast forest that the third floor can oversee from the distance. Three to five books sat atop the table in front of her, no more and no less. It was the same scene over and over again.

She doesn't seem to have any expression written on her face as she read. She would look at anyone who will ask her some questions with a poker face before answering. Maybe that is the reason why everyone that goes to the library had finally stopped approaching her. They even whispered to themselves that she is not known as 'approachable'.

Yes, her friends that knew her knows that she will never stop talking about all kinds of things that she sees. She never ever runs out of topics to talk about. That is what she was before. In this new school, she doesn't know anyone. She has to use her ability to easily befriend just about anyone.

That is if she hasn't lost that ability yet and if anyone would even stay as her friend.

Because in her mind, all of them are the same... they will all leave her alone in the end.

She is a pessimist, all right. And she knows that fact all too well. What can she do when all that she can see in the world she is stepping on is all negativity?

It doesn't matter when it started, all that it matters now is that it is in existence, the feeling of an inverted outlook on all of the things one can see. That is how she sees.

Now...

Let us close the curtains of her brief history...

...and open those curtains again to start peeking into her life as a Pessimist.
