Heloise pulls the thick leaves down, walking past them with a frown on her face. Jared himself is irritated as the itchy leaves scratch at his cheeks after Heloise releases them.
"You're sure they're here?" He grunts.
"I know they've been here since long." She turns to grin emptily at him. "I'm busy just building up the tension and waiting for the right moment to finish them."
"Two against three doesn't sound smart to me."
"But one-on-one plus a spectator is." She chuckles.
"I'm not going to just watch you fight like girls." He rolls his eyes.
"Trust me." Her voice drops seriously. "This is anything but playful."
"Why? 'Cause you're feeling big enough to take her on."
Heloise shrugs, "I've taken her on before."
Birds flap their wings and fly off, scattered as something falls from the tree, hitting the ground and emanating a groan before a growl.
Heloise smirks, holding a hand in front of Jared to stop him from walking further.
Pink vines that are holding her down as she struggles beneath them suddenly become visible and Jared's breath halts in his throat.
"I see Libby's ability couldn't kill you." Raven chuckles hoarsely as the vines begin tightening around her.
"You know," Heloise blinks once, pink slowly coating her eyes from the bottom, following her eyelids' movements, "I'll give you a chance to fight me. It's hard to find opponents who won't beg for forgiveness immediately." She smirks smugly.
"That arrogance could get you killed." Raven hisses, staggering to stand up as the vines lift off of her, hovering beside Heloise now.
"What the hell..."
Raven smirks and Heloise's eyes narrow. She flicks her wrist to hold up a pink shield, preventing Jared from getting hit by knives giving off a black aura.
"Isn't your little boyfriend going to fight for you?" Raven cooes, laughing freely as she keeps on commanding shadow knives to attack them.
Heloise's face is blank as the pink in her eyes turns hot pink. She swipes her hand up and the shield bounces the knives back at Raven who cuts her laughter to evade her own attack, appearing in a flash next to Heloise.
She tries to swipe at her neck, but Heloise lungs for her arm and they disappear in a blink of an eye.
