Chapter 10

Nicholas was still making plans to find the castle but have to wait until spring. Nicholas already got the ring he was going to give Anastasia when he asked her to marry him. Nicholas starts making plans to build a house for himself and Anastasia.

"You think Anastasia was going to marry you?" - Julia asked Nicholas.

"Why do you care?" - Nicholas asked Julia.

"I do not care. I am just wondering why you were having a house build when you were not even engaged yet?" - Julia asked Nicholas.

"I am going to be engaged to your sister and you were going to help me." - Nicholas told Julia.

"I also told you, it's not going to be easy helping you. If you want to marry Anastasia stop being a jerk. You cannot get someone by force." - Julia told Nicholas.

Christmas was four days away. Anastasia could not wait until Christmas and the New Year. Anastasia also could not wait to see her father. Prince Alex and his father, George were busy so Anastasia went to the library to read. The Wilsons have a day off so Anastasia did the cooking. It still snowing badly. Prince Alex told Anastasia not to worry because her father was still coming for Christmas. Jack was working on his math. The Wilsons were watching TV.

After Anastasia finish the dishes she went back to the library and read Anne of Green Gables. Anne of Green Gables was one of Anastasia's favorite books.

Prince Alex was talking to his dad about Anastasia. "Dad, I love Anastasia and I am ready to ask her to be my wife." - Alex told George. "Well, son, you have my blessed." - George told Alex. "I want you to have this. It's your mother's wedding ring. You can give it to Anastasia." - George told Alex.

"When were you planning on asking Anastasia?" - George asked.

"I am going to ask her to marry me at the Christmas party." - Alex said.

"I am happy for you, son. I hope you and Anastasia have a long and happy marriage." - George said.

"Thank you, Dad. I am hoping we can get married in New Year." - Prince Alex already told the Wilsons but Jack did not know.

The Wilson was happy because the curse would be broken soon and they will be human again. Jack can start school.

Anastasia got so into her book that she lost track of the time. It was already 1:00 AM. Anastasia put the book away for later and went to bed. Anastasia slept in and did not wake up until 10:00 AM. The Wilsons also slept in because Prince Alex went running some errands with his father. Anastasia and the Wilsons have a late breakfast. The snow stopped, but Mr. Wilson said it was going to snow again and it was also going to rain ice. Jack was disappointed.

"Jack, we still can go out before it starts snowing again." - Anastasia said.

"Can we go skating?" - Jack asked Anastasia.

"Yes, we can." - Anastasia and Jack went skating until it was time for lunch. Prince Alex and George were already home. Prince Alex got plenty of groceries. Prince Alex also got plenty of wood for the fireplace.

The snowstorm did not last long. Anastasia was happy and was hoping it would not snow again for a while. Mr. Wilson told Anastasia he did not hear anything about any more snow, but he did not know. Jack had a cold, so Mrs. Wilson was taking care of Jack. Anastasia did the cooking so she can help Mrs. Wilson.

Christmas was already 3 days away. Anastasia was helping the Wilsons with the Christmas party. Anastasia was also wondering if Nicholas was still asking about her. Anastasia hopes he was not. The room they were having the party was really beautiful. The room was ready. The Wilsons always like getting things ready early so they would not be rushing about doing things.

Nicholas was thinking about what Julia said. Nicholas starts wondering if Anastasia rejected him because she believes he was a jerk. Nicholas wanting to start changing so Anastasia would marry him. Nicholas was also wondering if Anastasia was coming home for Christmas. He went to look for Julia.

"Hey, Julia, was Anastasia coming home for Christmas?" - Nicholas asked.

"I do not know dad has not said anything." - Julia said.

"Was your dad home?" - Nicholas asked.

"Yes, he is." - Julia said.

"I am going to visit him." - Nicholas told Julia.

"Hi, Martin was Anastasia coming home for Christmas?" - Nicholas asked.

"I do not know. It has been snowing bad and would not be safe for her to make the trip home." - Martin told Nicholas.

"I hope she can come home because I miss her." - Nicholas said. After Nicholas left Martin to start getting ready for his trip to visit Anastasia. Martin was looking forward to seeing his daughter.
