Chapter 6 - Into The Finite Abyss

& Ocean's POV&

The last words my father told me over the phone was enough to kill me.

She's gone.

Every time  it repeated in my brain, my heart broke. But why? How? Why did she choose to die? Why did she choose to leave me? Why did God take her away from me? 

She was kind. Sweet. Caring. She and Dad were the only things I truly have. But why did the world take away one of them?

Why?

Tears. Tears continually rolled down my cheeks. Why do we cry? Will the pain lessen every time a tear drops? 

I dropped down the floor. The energy drained. Just a moment ago, I experienced my dream. Talking to the one I love. Being complimented by the one I love. Being hugged, kissed, by the one I love. But now?

nothing. 

Nothing could take away this freaking pain in my chest. All the good act I've put up in front of my--my friends is for nothing. They haven't even payed their debts. It's already 2500 combined. Each.

All for pleasing everyone.

But how the hell have everyone pleased me?

Nothing. I felt so numb. My body was shaking. The pain in my chest was so strong. I can't move. I'm so, so sad.

Tears kept rolling down my cheeks. I want my mother. Give her back. Please, please give her back. I want her. I don't need anybody else but her and dad. Give her to me. Please...please.

Somebody came in my house. That somebody hugged me tight. I couldn't even decipher his or her face, but he or she kept telling me everything will be alright. I wanted to ask, but how? Now that she's gone...how will everything be alright?

Slowly, slowly, slowly, everything became blurry. Was it because of the water on my eyes? 

Slowly, slowly, slowly, everything became dimmer and dimmer...darker and  darker...

Slowly, slowly, slowly until my head dropped to the someone's shoulder. He smelled really nice. Like soap. And flowers.

Slowly, slowly, slowly..

I

fell

asleep.

Ahh, it feels nice.
