The General of Chi Kingdom, Icheoji Kazaki, is known for his intense combat skills and his ruthless methods while training his soldiers. Families with military backgrounds send their young sons to his training camp and hope that they gain his intelligence and knowledge. He has been a general for over twenty years, and it has been found that it is hard to replace him. The Emperor cherishes those who remain loyal and do their best to benefit his kingdom.
His First Wife (the only one), Su Lan, is a daughter of a merchant from the Southern Lands. She was beautiful, and caught the attention of many single men but refused to marry. She came to Chi kingdom with her father in a trade business and later met the General. That was when she gave in to her feelings and gave her heart to the serious and ruthless man. They married a year later and had two daughters.
The eldest daughter is the spitting image of her mother. Rosanna Kazaki has her mother's beauty and her love of the arts. This year, she has been chosen as a candidate to enter the Palace as a competitor. Su Lan has been excited to find a suitable man for her daughter, even though she won't have a say in the matter.
However, the youngest daughter Kohana Kazaki is the complete opposite. She is withdrawn from people and rarely speaks unless she wants to prove a point.
She is well-educated in the feminine arts, just like her sister, except she lacks the motivation and love for these arts. She would rather spend her time reading or watching her father train rather than spend her time stressing over the right tunes or learning the appropriate etiquette. This is The Kazaki Household, where both girls will be faced with different destinies. They don't know yet what the future hides.
The unknown is dangerous as well as exciting and one cannot trust fate without expecting surprises.* * * * * * * * * *
