Star Wars: Young Rebel

Chapter 2:

The night was coming to an end, the sun was about to rise. It remained silent inside the city, the only noise that could be heard was that of an Imperial scout walker. Saw was chasing the unknown boy who had stolen a lot of Imperial cargo lately. ''Saw, do you have got the boy already?'' Idryssa said it in a way you could know she was sarcastic. ''Well this boy is special. He is better than we thought. I think he is up to something, we need to know what. I don't think that he is a rebel or anything like that.'' Saw had a heavy breathing. Idyssa was convinced that this boy was special. The way he operated. It was too good to be just a random smuggler or thief. The com went off again, but this time there was bad news. ''Saw there are problems on our horizon. The Empire. They are here with extra reinforcements.'' Saw was shocked, why did the Empire bring extra reinforcements.

An Imperial shuttle appeared from out of the sky. A squad of tie fighters followed. But these tie fighters weren't the standard ones. These tie fighters were from the special forces of the Empire. Saw looked at the sky. ''Special forces!? Idryssa, have you noticed those tie fighters behind the shuttle.'' Idryssa didn't respond much later. ''Yeah Saw, we have a problem. If there are special forces just helping to extract a shuttle from the local star destroyer to the planet surface, someone important must be in it.'' Saw listened closely to his friend. '' I think someone really important is onboard. We have to keep our heads low if we want to stay undetected.'' I know Saw but what about the boy? '' Idyssa answered worried. Don't worry about me and the boy, go back to our hideout.''

The market stalls were back and the citizens of Jehda were back on the streets. The people where used to the fact the Empire visited their city. Although this time something was different.

Saw had a modified AT-ST, but he didn't tell anyone about his modified speeder bike. This was mostly because it has an illegal part in it, even the Empire couldn't get their hands on this piece of material. This device supports the engines and gives them a boost. It is powered by a kyber crystal. You can mine kyber crystal quite easily on Jedha and the Empire is aware of that as well. Saw was still following this boy and the chase was happening for quite a long time now. Saw didn't gave up. He was in a doubt for a few seconds. He decided to put this special device to it's work. As soon as the boost was activated a loud sound appeared. Saw shot up with adrenaline and the speeder went faster and faster. The boy (Lucky) looked over his shoulder and was shocked. Saw could see his shock in his face, while moving faster each second. Something strange happened. The boy stopped. Saw's reaction couldn't be better, he pulled the breaks of the speeder so hard that the speeder was getting damaged. A loud screeching sound could be heard. Saw reached for his com to tell his friend the new situation. ''Idyssa we might have a bit of luck today. The boy stopped his speeder, I am going after him right now.'' Idryssa didn't have a chance to respond before Saw disconnected his com. The boy stopped his speeder. Saw stopped as well. The boy acted quick and pulled out a blaster pistol. Saw did the same thing as soon as he noticed the weapon the boy had. ''Saw, are you there? Saw!'' Idyssa tried to make contact with saw, but she didn't get any response. ''I am here Idryssa, relax. There might be a slight problem though. This boy does have a few lethal weapons.''

The boy was looking at Saw. ''Who are you''?. I am no one. I am just a boy trying to survive. ''So you are nameless?'' Saw was smiling because he knew the boy was treating him as a fool. ''I am saw. Saw Gerrera.'' Saw tried to impress the boy with his name. This action didn't seem to help much. ''Good for you Saw''. The boy was holding his blaster like a trained shooter. ''Just tell me your name. I told you mine. We could be friends, I think you might need them.'' Saw was trying to create a good conversation between him and this unknown boy. ''Alright. I am Lucky. They call me that because most of the time I am lucky.'' Lucky was brave and fearless and Saw was starting to notice this. ''So Lucky, do you need any help with that cargo you just stole?'' Saw thought that he could buy this cargo from the boy. ''Why should I need help. The Empire is now focusing on their holy Grand Moff''. Said Lucky with a smirk on his face. Saw was confused, how did this boy know who was coming to Jehda City.

''You know who this is?'' Saw asked. ''Well you should have heard the news if you're a rebel. There is a new grand moff. His name is Tarkin. Former Governor Tarkin from the Galactic Republic, which is gone now.'' The boy acted like he was some wise jedi who knew more than an average person in the galaxy. ''Tarkin. Well I do have heard that name before.'' Saw was confused but believed this boy. ''So Lucky you want to come with us and join our rebel group. We could use someone as smart and streetwise as you.''The boy was looking at Saw like he hasn't done before. ''I could consider it. I don't have much friends or family. I like to fight the Empire so, yeah I want to join your rebel group.'' Saw was surprised that his choice was made so easily. ''Well come on then. We have a long ride ahead of us.''

Note: This chapter, I don't really know what to say. I felt like I should have more action included, but I didn't want to rush the meeting with Saw and Lucky. So the next chapter will more action. I promise.
