Renesmee's not the only one.

Chapter 4~ Learning to hunt.

Allies POV.

I wake up with a pep in my step. Today Renesmee and I learn how to hunt!

Mom and dad get us dressed in "play clothes" *cough* Designer clothes Auntie Alice bought. *cough* *cough

Daddy puts me in his back and Momma gets Nessie. We go soaring through the trees. We stop in Momma and Daddy's meadow.

"Okay girls," daddy starts, "first concentrate on what you smell. I take a few deep breaths.

At first I can't differentiate between the smells. Then I can put aside my parents scent. I smell something small. No, I refuse to kill any babies.

It takes a minute but then I smell something amazing. My eyes widen. It smells so good.

Nessie's head snaps up her eyes meeting mine. Mom grabs my arm. Dad gets Nessie then pulls mom and I to his chest.

"That, is a human. "

It smells soooo good though...

Yeah, but it's human. You are half human I'm part human. The internal struggle is real. Bury your head in daddy's shirt.

I see her nod and we both shield our noses from the wonderful fragrance, sweeter than sugar.

When I'm back in control of myself, I take Renesmee's hand and we slowly walk in the direction of a different scent. I make sure it's not human before nodding at her.

We take of running, our parents following. We see a elk. We both lunge at the same time. She tackles it and I help hold it down.

"What now Momma?"

"Now you bite it, or snap its neck." I snap it's neck very carefully, so I don't waste any blood.

I sink my teeth in and Renesmee copies my actions.

Renesmee's POV

I let Allie take most of the elk. I sniff the air lightly. I smell the human from before.

"Maybe their lost, Momma can we go help them?" Daddy looks over to mommy.

"Bella, go home. I'll call you if we need Carlisle. His phone broke, remember."

Mommy nods before running in the opposite direction of the human. We run until we are in view of the human. Or close to it.

I smell bloodshed. My eyes widen. I quickly grab daddy. I close my eyes tightly and try to focus on other scents.

I smell an animal scent, right next to the human. The human could be in trouble. I grab Daddy and start pulling him to the human

His own eyes are dark. Allie's are black. I'm sure mine are almost black. We enter a very small clearing.

A young girl is laying on the grass a mountain lion is attacking her. Daddy takes care of the Mountain lion.

I help the young girl stand. "Hi, I'm Mariana. Have you seen my Aunt?" She has small but deep scratches on her left arm. She's taller than Allie and I, she has brown hair and blue eyes.

Allie's POV

Her blood smells amazing. The vampire side of me wants me to give in and drink her. But the small human part of me cries out in sorrow for her.

"I'll go call Grandpa!" I say and run human speed out of the clearing, taking daddy's phone. I'm putting distance between me and the blood.

I dial Mommas phone number. "Yes Edward, does she need help?"

"Momma, Its Allie. Yeah, she needs help."

"Okay I'll get Carl- Grandpa!"

I rush back to the clearing, reminding myself she's human. I go hug daddy.

Ness..? Distract me.

Uhmmm... I really like unicorns. Do you think since we exist, Unicorns and Mermaids exist?

I uh. I don't know.

Even through my conversation of mindless chatter with Nessie, my thoughts kept drifting to the smell of blood.

Grandpa comes into the clearing. "Edward go, take Allie and try to find her guardian."

"My aunt her name is Josephine." Daddy carries me through the forest, returning to the clearing with her later. I am very happy that the scent of blood is much weaker.

We all guide them out of the forest. "Thank you doctor Cullen, for helping my niece."

Grandpa nods and we all head home.

Back at the cottage Ness and I are waiting for our bedtime story.

Daddy comes in with Momma.

"You girls did an amazing job today, resisting blood like that." Today was great, until now I didn't even think about the Volturi.

Oh no, how did I forget? The Volturi is after Nessie and I.
