Only time will ever know
What 'forever' truly is
And only Time will ever see
What there is to be
The clock will continue to tick
The gears will keep on turning
And when my hour is up and gone
Time will be ticking on
For the only true immortal
Is known as Time itself
Which cannot be contained
Nor placed upon a shelf
And we surround ourselves
With flat circles and hands
In an attempt to keep track
Of what we don't understand
But time is its own circle
Its own cycle of eternity

Quietly hoped our thoughts were heard
We wondered how we met that night
