Millie woke up with a pounding headache. She remembered vaguely Jacob driving her and the girls home and them all somehow making it up to Millie's penthouse apartment. Millie then remembered that Jacob had asked her out. On a date. Tonight. Adrenaline surged through her as she silently giggled with nervous excitement. Then she remembered her conversation with Finn and threw her pillow over her head and groaned with humiliation. Now he was going to think she liked him. And she didn't, right?
'What's wrong Mills?' Lilia asked from next to her as she had seen this dramatic gesture Millie had just made.
Millie sighed, 'I had a totally embarrassing phone call with Finn last night.'
Lilia just laughed and smiled, she had been sworn to secrecy about the slight flirtation occurring between Millie and Finn. They wanted to keep it a secret, in fear of Wyatt finding out. Although, Millie insisted it was nothing, not even a flirtation.
After all the girls left her house, Millie opened her wardrobe, scavenging for something to wear to her date tonight. She stood in her underwear trying on different items of her luxurious clothing. She then heard the elevator doors ping, indicating that someone had entered her apartment. She groaned and pulled on her silk robe, for some modesty, but leaving it untied as she assumed it would be one of the girls.
She pattered down the stairs with her robe flowing behind her. Only to come face to face with Finn Wolfhard. He glanced at her, taking in her choice of clothing. His eyes analysing every bit visible of her slim figure. He subconsciously licked his lips, his eyes still trailing over her body. She whacked his head and pulled the robe around her tightly, covering everything that was previously exposed.
'No please, don't cover up for me.' He teased, desperate to see her again.
'Fucking pervert,' she murmured.
'Not a pervert.' He smirked, 'just appreciate beauty.' He said the last part so quietly, she wouldn't have heard it if he wasn't so close to her.
'Why are you here anyways?'
He walked over to the velvet couch and lit up a cigarette. 'Well..' he paused, 'you said I was a good kisser.'
She scoffed, 'that didn't mean anything Wolfhard.'
'Oh but it meant everything.' He smiled connivingly, 'you see.... if you like me kissing you.... it means you like me.' He leaned into her so she could feel his breath on her neck.
She shoved him backwards and rolled her eyes, 'in your dreams Wolfhard. Now go away I have to get ready.'
'For what?'
'My date with Jacob.' She smiled watching him grimace with jealousy.
'Why are you going on a date with that douche?' He said, trying desperately not to sound bothered by it.
'Because he asked me.' She said coming close to Finn's face, he stopped breathing for a second as her perfect face came closer to his, 'Why do you care Finn? Does it mean you like me?' She teased, using his own comeback against him.
Her face was so close to his, he examined every single part of her face. He was taken away by her beauty, he was finding it difficult to breath. A sly smile had appeared on Millie's face, she was trying to act confident, but deep inside her stomach she could feel butterflies erupting. Their noses were almost touching and his curly hair was touching her forehead.
'Define 'like'...' he stuttered, his nerves getting the better of him.
She drew back, away from his face. An amused expression was plastered across her pretty features.
'Oh my God! You do! You like me..... I can't believe this.' She said laughing with surprise.
'I get this feeling in my stomach, like all fluttery.' He said angrily, evidently frustrated by the effects Millie had on him.
'Butterflies?' She breathed with disbelief. Then she composed herself and calmed down, again trying to act seductive. She gave him a small smile, before gently tracing his lips with her index finger. His heart thudded loudly and she placed her other hand on his chest, feeling it thump throughout his body. She then, with new found confidence, leaned her head on his shoulder in a way that his nose was almost pressed against her bare neck. He could smell the sweet scent of her subtle but effective perfume and it was driving him insane. The smell of her made him want to grab her and kiss her, but he didn't. Right now for once, Millie was in control. His head was spinning with how much he wanted her, the sweet perfume making him dizzy.
She knew she was having an enormous affect on him at this moment in time, which is what she wanted. So she placed her lips against his ear, so close that they were practically touching it and whispered, 'Bye Wolfhard, see ya later.'
And with that she drew away from him and ran up the stairs to continue getting ready, very satisfied with what had just happened. She was in control.
