"It hasn't always been like this. Why did it have to be like this? I wanted only..."

"Wha... ou... esir... ost... il... e... aken... rom... ou... sho... yo... ac... ept... then..."
I couldn't figure out what the warm, welcoming yet dark and unsettling ventriloquizing voices in my head mean. What could they have meant? I can't see anything... only darkness... only... oblivion... only... h...

What is it that I wanted most? It never occurred to me what I desired in my heart... I only knew what others want, want from me that is. "Then I shall..." was all I could muster saying "So... be... it... to lose.... is to gain... and to lose...." I still couldn't figure anything from all the voices in my head, yet in my heart I knew what they meant, to me at the very least...

Yet whatever I would gain from this pact... it would come to me in its most fickle, most unexpected form... in ways no prophetic tongue could ever pronounce, for fate is always most the mercurial and playful creature I'd known it to be...

Where mind meets matter, resides a realm beyond any mind can conceive... a reflection of a world beyond, wanting to draw you in; ever as real as its counterpart, but also as ephemeral as reality itself...
