Episode 10

Christmas Break

Kehlani's House 

I loved this, being with Sin again. Just like when we were little. I missed him, it was like a piece of me left with him when he just up and left 5 years ago. He was my everything growing up, always protected me! I couldn't ask for a better big brother, but he left me...he just up and left. He broke moms heart when he left, and mine. This is the first time we've seen him in 5 years. And  i only started talking to him 3 years ago. I was so angry with him, but he's back so i'm happy. I just hope he doesn't disappear again. I can't handle it this time. 

Heather (Kehalni's Mother) walked out the kitchen, into the doorway of the living room where she saw her two children sitting on the couch laughing. Something she hadn't seen in 5 years. 

Heather: Kids, you hungry?

Kehlani: Um, I'm going with Beth and Kendall to the Christmas lights. Remember? 

Unless you want me to stay? 

Heather: No honey, i forgot. 

Sin will you take them? 

Sin: Sure.  You good with that sis? 

Kehlani: Yea

Beth and Kendall are on their way over, so I'm gonna go get ready. Mom. 

Heather: Yes honey? 

Kehlani: Kendall, said he's hungry *Laughs* 

Heather laughs and walks back to the kitchen. Kehlani goes up stairs and starts to get ready. 

*10 Minutes Later*

*KNOCK*KNOCK*KNOCK* 

Sin: Coming! 

Sin opens the door, shocked. 

Sin: What are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be on a plane? 

Jo: Yea, but i couldn't go. Where's Kehlani? 

Sin: Upstairs. 

Jo: Can I go up?

Sin: Hurry before my mom sees you. She's in the shower.

Jo: Thanks bro. 

Sin: Yea. 

Jo sprints up the stairs to Kehlani's room. 

As Jo gets closer to her door, he hears her; singing. He opens the door slowly so she won't hear him come in. 

I could hear her clear as day, as soon as i walked into the room. She sounds so beautiful. There was no music just her, just her angelic voice.

Jo sits on the bed and listens to Kehlani sing. 

Kehlani: Im young  and im foolish. ive made bad decisions. i block out the news, turn my back on religion.  don't have no degree, im somewhat naive. ive made it this far on my own. but lately that shit aint been getting me higher. i lift my head and the world is on fire. theres dread in my heart and fear in my bones. and i just don't know what to say.
