"Let me guess; a bagel and coffee, no cream." Playfully mocked the barista.
I smiled. I realized that it was the same one from yesterday.
"You certainly pick up fast, don't you?" I joked.
He began to pour me my coffee while saying, "Well, i wouldn't want to get yelled again when it's only my 4th day here. It wouldn't look so good to the big man." He smiled. He was very attractive. He had black hair, deep dimples, and beautiful brown eyes. His name tag read "Cole".
"Oh my God! I am so sorry. It wasn't even that big of a deal."
He put my coffee and neatly wrapped bagel on the counter and started to blush.
"It's okay. It wasn't your fault."
I reached into my purse and pulled out an extra 10 dollar bill for his tip.
"Here," I encouraged, "for your troubles. I really do apologize."
He refused to take it, so i reached over the counter and put it in his apron pocket.
"Have a nice day, Cole." I said and then walked away with a smile on my face.
I spotted Liam, my twin brother who looks nothing like me, other than the eyes and when my hair was blonde. He was sitting with his girlfriend, Sam, who had purple and blue hair. She had in a nose ring and medium size black gauges.
I smiled and Liam got up to give me a hug.
"It's been too long, Selena." He said while sitting back down.
"Yes, yes it has." I replied while looking at Sam. I flashed her a smile, and she responded with a smile back. She didn't really speak much.
My brother and i haven't seen each other since a little bit after our graduation. As soon as we turned 18, he moved out. He went to live with Sam in the suburbs. We have more money than most people, not trying to brag, but we aren't the richest. When our parents passed away, we had about twice the amount. Liam wanted noting to do with having tons of money. He was very charitable. Every Christmas since we were in middle school, he would donate just about everything. Him and I are complete separates. I'm very selfish, but forgiving. Liam could hold a grudge until he dies if he wanted to.
We sat there for many hours just catching up. Sam didn't really speak much other than to announce she's expecting and I'll be having a niece or nephew soon. I thought it looked like she'd gain weight, but i wasn't sure. I guess they were waiting until later this week to tell our sisters. Liam and Sam would only be here for a few days and we're going to stay with a family friend.
