New begginings

I sigh in releif as I carry the last box containing my clothes into my room, I juts moved here with dad.I walk over to my bedroom window and look out at the little town of Derry "I think I'm gonna like it here" I say to myself cheerfully, I walk down stairs were my father is putting away some last minute Books into one of our bookshelves. He turns to face me holding a small shopping list "would u be a deer and go get me a loaf of bread, there's a small store juts up the road", I take the list and grab a $5 dollar note from his wallet "be right back" I say walking out the door as I through my coat over my shoulders. I lock the door and. And begin my decent towards the small store, as I'm walking I look across the road we're there are couple of kids staring into a storm drain flashing a torch down there. I walk over and stand behind them "Did you loose something?" I ask tilting my head to the side a bit, one of the kids turn around and stand up to greet me "oh, hi no wee haven't lost anything there is something in the drain IT keeps making growling noises, by the way my names Joseph" he says shaking my hand "oh and how rude of me this is Charlotte, Dustin and the twins Rose and Violet" he says pointing to each individual. I wave "hi I'm Dusty and I just moved here with my father" Violet and Rose stand up "hi Welcome to Derry" they say in unison, "we'll sorry I can't stay I have to get to the store before they close,but I could grab your phone numbers" I say holding out my phone. I gather there phone numbers then take off to the store "they seemed nice" I say to my self as I walk along the gutter, suddenly I here a strange noise come from the storm drain a few meters in front of me. I walk over to investigate the strange disturbance then I suddenly hear a squeaky giggle "Hello?" I say bending down to reach the drain, i brush my hair out of my face and peek in "Is anyone there" I say shakily then suddenly my phone drops out of my pocket and stumble into the drain "SHIT" I whisper frustrated. I go to stand up when a white gloved hand appears with my phone in hand, I look into the drain deeper I can see two Blue eyes looking back at me "Hiya Dusty, would u like ur phone back" the stranger says holding my phone out "Who are u?" I ask inquisitively "Why I'm glad that you asked, I'm PennyWise the dancing clown" he says with a small giggle "May I please have my phone back?" I ask scared shitless "You want it back? Take It" he says with a whisper. I reach in and grab my phone when he grabs the bottom or my dress and pulls me closer, I try to scramble as fast as I can to my feet and trip backwards ripping my dress "Don't be Scared" he says disappearing into the shadows. I begin to walk "What the fuck was his deal?"I say shook.

I walk in the door and place the bag of groceries onto the kitchen counter and calm out for dad "Hey I'm home", I hear him Walk out of his office then down the stairs to the kitchen "Thank you gorgeous, I'll get started on dinner straight away"he says with a skip in his step. I walk upstairs to my room and place my coat on the wooden Coat hanger on the door way then walk in, I pull out my laptop and go onto the local news page to see what this small town is all about. I scroll through the page of articles when one catches my eye, 3 Reports of missing children around Derry "that's terrible" I whisper to my self sadly. I'd better be careful then scrolling through the articles the. Suddenly my phone pings, its from Joseph he juts checking the number works. Well I better get my shit ready for school, I literally start tomorrow. I get off my bed and close my laptop and walk over to the shopping bag full of school supplies and begin sorting them when I hear a small tap at the window, I walk over and slowly peel away the curtain from the window but I see nothing but there a small crack in the window with a bit of what seems to be blood around it. It only small so I mm juts going to ignore it for now I walk back over to my stuff and begin sort through it again placing all of my things into there cases, when I finally finished it almost 10:00 so I open my laptop and begin to watch Shameless on Netflix. Then that same small tap I heard before happens again I get up and go over to the curtain and open it "UGHHH DAD!" I scream as I stare at the dead bird lodged in my window pane, the door swings open "You okay!" He says rushing to me "Look!" I say pointing to the dead bird "well how on earth did that get there at 10:00pm at night!, wait here I'll remove it" he says walk in off to the laundry were our cleaning supplies are kept. I move my curtains further away from it and I look out to see a red balloon floating up towards the window, I watch it the suddenly it pops causing my to let out a small scream Dad enters the room again with the supplies "Are u ok!?" He ask worried "Yea I juts carded my self" I at staring out the window. After dad cleaned up the dead pigeon I lay in my bed and try to sleep, though I had a lot of trouble my mind was racing first the clown then the pigeon and now the balloon. I need to be carful I say to myself finally drifting off to sleep...
