Chapter 3

Cody's p.o.v:

Man this fucking meeting couldn't last any longer!!!! I've been sitting here for the last hour discussing things with my father about how I need to be focusing on the pack rather then finding my mate. I'm 20 years old and I still haven't found my mate yet and I'm starting to lose hope. I have one more pack I need to look at but I just don't know if it's gonna be worth it. Suddenly I'm brought out of my thoughts to someone snapping their fingers in my face. " son you need to focus these other alphas are gonna think their king is weak if he's not here dealing with his responsibility" my dad said.

He has a point but I don't want to give up just yet. " Okay dad ok, I just want to look at one more pack and if I can't find her there then I'll stop looking deal" ? Dads face constructed into one of thinking. " Fine, but after this you are to focus on the pack and nothing else you understand son"?  Yes dad I understand now let me get back to the rest of this paper work and get all my stuff set to go to the Black Haven pack. " Alright son".

Finally after dad left I finished up the paperwork and called up Alpha James. Yes, is this Alpha James I am speaking to? " yes sir how may I help you Alpha King" ? I was wondering in the next week or so if you could set me up a room and line up all your females so I could see if one of them is my potential mate. " Yes sir, I'll be more then welcome. Just let me know when your on your way Alpha King".

After we said are goodbyes I left my office to head to my room to get sleep and set things up for who will run will I'm gone.

The next morning I woke up bright and early feeling like the next few weeks were gonna be great. I got up out of bed and dressed in less then 15 minutes. That's a new record. Chuckling to myself I went down stairs to meet up with my Royal Beta Max. Me and Max have been best friends since were baby's. Max is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He is a year younger then me and has a mate who is now 8 months pregnant. She is the meanest fucking female werewolf I have ever seen when it comes to being pregnant.

Once I got down stairs Max was patiently waiting for commands. Hey Max's how is the pregnant women doing. " She's doing great, not as grouchy anymore". Laughing me and him head out to the training field. While heading over there me and him discuss what is to happen while I'm gone.

Four hours has went by and training is finally over. I start walking back to the pack house to freshen up before diner.

Once I get to the house my mother is waiting outside. "Son can me and you talk before for you go to freshen up for dinner". Yes momma how can I help you. " well son I just want to say I hope your mate is at this next pack. I'm getting old and I want to see my grand babies before I pass". Me to mom me to. Me and mom have always been close. She would always tell me about mates growing up and that I should treat my mate well. She would be the reason why I'm still looking.

I finally reach my room and head straight for my big shower that I love oh so much. About the time I'm finished in the shower diner is just getting done. I had to hurry and get dressed to head down there cause father hates it when I'm late.

I made it down to the table just In time before dad did. He was never happy with what I did but I'm just gonna prove that I'm a better Alpha then he was.

About the time I'm done with dinner I was completely worn out and exhausted. It literally felt like I had to drag myself up the stairs. As soon as I got to my room I flew onto the bed and passed out.
